It’s pretty hard to beat a fresh from the oven buttermilk biscuit. The soft layers are the perfect place to tuck a little extra butter, strawberry jam, pepper jelly, or even some shredded pork. As a southerner, I’ve grown up with biscuits as my go-to comfort food and this recipe from South Carolina’s beloved Callie’s Charleston Biscuits has been a hit since the second it ran back in 2013. Owner Carrie Morey shared her recipe and the helpful advice that you can absolutely bake and freeze these biscuits so you can warm them up for breakfast, lunch, or a snack any time you want.
