Top 20 Home Tours of All Time: #15 A Ghent, New York Home Where Green Rules

by Grace Bonney

When I started working on our list of Top 20 Home Tours of All Time, I just knew that this gem of a home would be on here. Welcome to your #15 home: Ted and Ted’s gorgeous green homestead!

Ted and Ted own the beloved Seattle design shop, Watson Kennedy, so it was no surprise that their home was well designed. But I had no idea just how incredible it would be until photographer Kelly Merchant and I drove over to Ghent to see it in person. Their stunning home (which they bought sight unseen!) is a cheerful ode to every possible shade of green. I still think about this house on a regular basis (and its sweet doggy inhabitant, Bailey!) so I know that it’s one of my all-time favorites. It reminds me of just how FUN design can be and that always makes me happy. Enjoy revisiting this home from 2015! xo, Grace
