kari herer photography

by Grace Bonney

lately i’ve been feeling a slow internal switch from feeling the need to collect patterns and prints, towards investing in large-scale photography. the other week i woke up and every bit of me felt like taking everything off the wall and just starting over- with a few (big) framed photographs on the wall. right now i’m really feeling florals so these new photographs from kari herer are right up my alley. i love the dark background in her peony shot above- it’s dramatic but still such a simple composition. and the numbered flower series below? gorgeous. kari used to take photographs for vera wang fine papers, tiny prints and william arthur, but now she’s out on her own selling her work on etsy– you can click here to check out (and shop) her full collection. enjoy!
