The Design*Sponge Biz Ladies series was founded in 2006 in order to connect local women running their own art and design-based businesses. Each year Design*Sponge travels across the country to host these events in various cities where upwards of 200 women gather to talk, network and receive free advice from local experts on the topics of PR and Marketing, Wholesale/Retailing, Business/Legal advice and hear the story of a successful local designer who’s turned a passion into a full-time job. So far the Design*Sponge Biz Ladies series has traveled to Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, OR, and Seattle. This summer we will also hold meetups in Baltimore, MD and Boston, MA.
The Design*Sponge Biz Ladies series does not have a sponsor so all travel, event fees and lodging are paid for by Design*Sponge. As such we cannot afford to travel to every city (or outside the US) at the moment. But because we feel strongly about sharing any information and advice our experts have offered attendees in person we wanted to make any notes, documents and tip sheets public for download.
