10 Second Studio Tour: Frances Palmer

This week, Grace, Amy, and I found ourselves buckling up in Grace’s tiny Volkswagen and trekking up from Brooklyn to Connecticut. The purpose for our trip? Visiting the home and workplace of the wonderful, magical ceramist and all-around awesome human, Frances Palmer. Frances, whose work with ceramics is some of our favorite of all time, is one of those rare souls who is able to call her home her office and vice versa. Nestled between her stunning flower garden and her house stands a two-story barn that functions as Frances’ studio space. Filled with books, pottery, and all the accouterments of the ceramist trade, the space is a veritable cave of wonders. Next week, we’re going to be sharing a peek into Frances’ home, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on these snaps of her incredible workspace. If creativity is contagious—and I believe that it is—these photos will have you inspired for weeks to come! Check out the 10 Second Tour above or all of the photos after the jump. —Max
