Fresh Start: Max’s January Pinterest Picks

With the start of every new year comes a new chance to turn over a blank page and start fresh. The insanity and festivities of the holidays are over and there is time, once again, to focus on personal projects and self-improvement. I, for one, often use January as my go-to time for straightening up, purging unnecessary things, and getting all of my life (both physically and mentally) in order. This year, with a new house and dozens of renovation projects ahead, my January checklist falls firmly into the physical realm. Up next? Carving out an office space, a new pantry, and a functional laundry room—projects that are just made for the New Year mindset! From my friend Sean Wolcott’s  wonderfully minimalist Rationale Calendar to Target’s new Black & White vase (which I’ve used as a lovely little planter), these are my picks for getting into the Fresh Start groove with style. Check out all of my picks on Design*Sponge’s Pinterest Page. (And don’t forget to follow us on Pinterest!) —Max

I love the pink file cabinet! Having a pretty system always makes stuff like filing less of a chore.

we took an old file cabinet and spray painted bright blue about 15 years ago. it still looks great!

  3. That pink color is so hot right now, but I LOVE the mint option cb2 has (and that one’s on sale right now)…

  4. I’m thinking about upcycling my filing cabinet. Your pink filing cabinet is giving me great ideas! Thanks!
