January is widely regarded as the month of fresh new things—new year, new you, etc. etc. etc. We here at Design*Sponge, however, tend to think that new can be a little overrated. At least when there are old things to be had. Throughout this month, we’ve been celebrating all things old, from our love for Preservation Detroit to our #DSOldHouse call for entries. You guys know that our love for old homes runs deep, but it seems like yours might run even deeper! We asked you to submit photos of your own favorite old houses—from wide exteriors to minute details—and boy, did you deliver!! There were so many stunning entries that whittling them down was quite the task. Old houses can be a lot of work, but these photos prove that they are so, so worth it! Continue after the jump to see all of our favorite photos! —Max
