After the Jump: Interview with Shanan Campanaro of Eskayel

ESKAYEL
This week I had the honor of interviewing the incredibly talented- and inspiring- designer behind one of my favorite wallpaper and textile collections: Eskayel. Shanan Campanaro has been creating her beautiful watercolor-meets-Rorschach since she was a student at Central St. Martin’s in 2008 and she’s been a hit on the design scene ever since. I was so happy to hear more from her, as I’ve admired her can-do business attitude for a while now. Her willingness to take risks and aim for environmentally friendly products and processes whenever possible is admirable to say the least. I can’t wait to install one of her wallpaper designs in our office next week and I was just as happy and excited to talk to her yesterday. I hope you’ll enjoy her interview as much as I did- and don’t miss her answer to the last question of the show. It’s priceless. xo, grace

This was a funny, honest, insightful interview. I so appreciate hearing the story of a woman behind a successful business – her beginnings, the challenges presented, the direction she has taken and why. More of these, please!
