The other day I was listening to the song ‘Watercolors‘ by Mal Blum and stumbled onto these beautiful pieces at Koromiko at the exact same time. It felt like the perfect melding of music and art and I immediately added both pieces to my wishlist. The top piece, a stoneware serving plate with blue watercolor designs, is so lovely I’d almost hate to cover it with food to be served. I’d love to get a small collection of them to mount on the wall. They’re so watery and soft- they feel like a summer pool in plate form. The textured cheeseboard below has a blue watercolor glaze as well and would be such a gorgeous way to serve end-of-summer cheese and fruit. It’s still in the high 80s here in New York, so I’ll take all these final chances to enjoy summer colors and snacks any time. Click here to check out more at Koromiko online. xo, grace
