Modern Stump Black Walnut Cutting Boards

Now that my little rental kitchen makeover is pretty much complete (I always drag my feet on one last thing- this time it’s re-painting the ceiling) I’m ready to start stocking up on serving pieces. While I’ve been incredibly loyal to my Ariele Alasko cutting board (and always will be), I’m ready to add a new piece or two to my board collection. Mainly because a pretty board can make even the simplest breakfast look beautiful and artfully arranged. These gorgeous cutting boards from Aaron Fuller of Modern Stump in Portland are made of Western Black Walnut that is sustainably harvested in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to the deep rich color, I love the unique shape of each board. Every single one is completed by hand so no two are alike, although the size options are approximately the same overall size- so you’ll have plenty of room to cut, chop and prep to your heart’s desire. Tilde in Portland is selling the small and medium sized versions of Aaron’s cutting boards right here for $44 and $55. Thanks, Kate! xo, grace

Thanks so much for featuring these gorgeous cutting boards. You made our week! The wood worker – and ourselves – are dancing all around!

So beautiful – I love that you could use them as serving platters too. Anything multi-functional in a small kitchen is great!
