Your Dream Summer Party Pinterest Contest: Winners!

by Silka

Hands down, one of the best things about being part of the Design*Sponge team is all of the absolutely amazing inspiration that we get to sift through, all day, everyday. It comes to us from the unstoppable design community, the incredible submissions we receive and now from you, our readers, through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest… oh, Pinterest!

We are so thrilled that you took our first shot at a Pinterest contest and really ran with it. Picking out just five favorites was a seriously difficult task – there were so many wonderful party ideas, from the innovative themes you started from to the tiny details you rounded them out with. We’d be lucky to attend any of your soirées!

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to take a good look through a few of the #DSSummerParty pins (or click through some of the links in the comment section of the original post). We promise you’ll have a hard time tearing yourself away… and when you finally do, you’ll be itching to entertain! Don’t worry – this summer might be flying by, but there’s still plenty of time left to party!

Here are our favorites:

Cathy J – A Backyard BBQ for Long-Lingering Guests

Rugged Babe – A Summer Campstravaganza

Jeska Hearne – So Fresh and So Green Garden Party

Natalia Osiatynska – Southeast Asia Inspired All-Day Fete

Leigh Buck – An Outdoor Feista to Delight the Senses

Thanks so much to everyone who submitted their pinboards. We’ll definitely be holding another Pinterest contest soon, so stay tuned! – Silka
