10 Best Upcyled DIY Projects: Vintage Transformations

Last week, we made our annual trek to the Brimfield Antique show. Part of the fun walking around antique fairs is imagining the possibilities of transforming our finds into something cool. We found architectural balustrades that could be turned into table lights, industrial mixer blades that could become pendant lamps, and wooden crates that can become anything from plant stands, to a dog feeder to shelves. So many great ideas! I like the thread spools on the wall as just art in itself.

I really love the idea of turning a western belt into a picture frame. I think it would also work nicely for a mirror frame.

Great ideas! Love the western belt frames. I see old belts all the time here in the Houston area and that is a perfect thing to do with them. I love upcycling! My whole business, vintage jewelry, is based on re using old items in a new way. Add vintage jewelry to you any outfit and the look just becomes that much more interesting.

Love the painting turned secret drawer! My kids would think that was super cool as well.
