Animal Love: Snake

by Amy Azzarito

According to the Chinese calendar, we have officially entered the Year of the Snake. There are 12 animals in rotation in the Chinese zodiac and five snakes within that grouping. The last Year of the Snake was in 2001, but this year is technically The Year of the Water Snake, which we haven’t had since 1953. This snake represents wisdom, intelligence and self-control, and it is associated with good luck, so 2013 should be a lucky year. I don’t know about you, but I’m sure we could all use one of those. Here are some more snake-themed designs to kick off The Year of the Snake and keep the good luck going. — Amy Azzarito
