2012 d*s scholarship: sponsor needed

by Grace Bonney

One of the most important things to me and my work/life here at Design*Sponge is giving back. Whether we’re donating time, supplies or financial awards, I try to make sure our focus never wavers from supporting the artists and designers we love so much. Since 2007, I’ve been organizing and hosting a Design*Sponge Scholarship to support the next generation of up-and-coming designers. The scholarship has donated over $30,000 to students over the years, and this year we’re excited to host the scholarship again — now expanded to include high school students (as well as undergraduate and graduate students)!

Our ad team has been working hard behind the scenes to secure sponsors, but we have one spot remaining (a $2,000 sponsorship spot) that I wanted to open up to any companies/possible sponsors reading. We’re hoping to find a single sponsor for this spot, so if you’re interesting in supporting a great cause and the next wave of designers/artists who will inspire us all, please send us an email right here for more information. We’re closing this final sponsor spot in one week, so drop us a line if you’d like to join the team that will be supporting this year’s prizes: Parsons, O’More College of Design and West Elm. Thanks for your time and support. Stay tuned for applications and finalist voting later this month! xo, grace

Our goal is to create a safe space where everyone (commenters, subjects of posts and moderators) feels comfortable to speak. Please treat others the way you would like to be treated and be willing to take responsibility for the impact your words may have on others. Disagreement, differences of opinion and heated discussion are welcome, but comments that do not seek to have a mature and constructive dialogue will not be published. We moderate all comments with great care and do not delete any lightly. Please note that our team (writers, moderators and guests) deserve the same right to speak and respond as you do, and your comments may be responded to or disagreed with.
