Biz Ladies: The Create + Connect Project

by Stephanie

Today’s Biz Ladies post comes from me, Biz Ladies editor Stephanie Todaro. I am excited to contribute my first post about fellow Biz Ladies Katrina Padron and Mariah Danielsen, and the wonderful new project they are spearheading: the Create + Connect Project.

create + connect project For the past three years, I have been connecting with various entrepreneurs, consultants, marketing specialists and many others to bring you advice that you can use to help start, grow, maintain and revolutionize your businesses. As a new “official” Biz Lady myself (I am taking the plunge into a freelance career very soon), these resources have been incredibly helpful and powerful during my transition.

I think the most beautiful (and most appealing) aspect of being a creative entrepreneur is the incredible camaraderie and collaboration that goes on in this community. Creatives are caring. It’s true! A great example of this is the wonderful collaboration between Biz Ladies Katrina Padron and Mariah Danielsen.

These two savvy entrepreneurs are helping fellow creatives “turn their passion into profit” through their new Create + Connect Project. This project is focused on offering free tips and advice to businesses via downloadable worksheets and online conversations. From boosting your productivity to engaging your social media community more effectively, Katrina and Mariah are sharing their knowledge to help you grow. And coming later this summer, Katrina and Mariah are releasing several e-books and training series focused on branding, social media and building WordPress websites. There are also plans to create several weekend workshops where attendees can come with business ideas and leave with a strong brand foundation, a website, a blog and a social media presence. You can learn even more about the project and the minds behind it right here.

Thank you, ladies, for continuing to help educate and encourage the creative business community.

  • After much trying to research what this actually is, it seems like the blog info is all free (and good stuff!), but the Create + Connect Project is a $500 e-learning course which covers all kinds (???) of info to help you in starting your business. With much love and tons of support, I have to say it comes across very vague to me. I would want more info before investing, like topics to be covered, time commitment required, is it all downloadable and can others in my business use it, how will it profit my business, etc. I understand even the syllabus is part of the intellectual property you want to save up for those who are paying clients, but the vague description on the site just isn’t enough to sell me, it was confusing. Maybe i am being too concrete, or maybe i missed the page with all the info? All the best!

  • @Jamie – The Create + Connect Project is our brand, and through the brand offer different types of programs – our first one was the 8 week e-learning course which is underway right now, including ebooks and more focused programs for people who just need help in certain areas. We’re currently updating our website, and we will be adding in more information about each program when our shop opens early next month! Hope that helps!
