berry (napkin) picking

by Grace Bonney

Last summer I was so bummed that I missed prime berry picking season on Sauvie Island. Even though I spent a sizable chunk of my summer in Portland, I managed to miss most of the sunshine and the legendary berry fields that I kept hearing about at dinner parties. This year, I’m going to do my best to catch them in season, but until then, these printed berry napkins might be my best bet. Each set of hand-screened hemp and organic napkins was created by Tina Produce and is made entirely of recycled fabric. And each kit (packed in a sweet compostable berry container) comes with one blueberry, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry napkin. These would be a sweet way to invite someone to go berry picking with you, or to give as a housewarming gift. If you’re interested in picking up a set, click here to check them out in more detail ($22). xo, grace
