Rachel Denny’s sweater trophy heads have been around the web for a while, but I love how she’s taken that idea and expanded it over the years. These new pieces are from her solo show at the Foster/White Gallery in Seattle, starting this April. The show’s theme is “Works of Nature,” and she’s brought such interesting textures to familiar shapes and silhouettes. Her “War Horse” made of flattened pennies is one of my favorites. If you’re in the Seattle area, you can check these out in person in April, but until then, you can see them online right here. xo, grace

I absolutely love the horse made of pennies. What a creative display!
Beautiful & creative. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful and so much less creepy than dead animals!
Interesting play between the materials and animals. Very cool work.
