herringbone bags

by Kate Pruitt

I’m right there with Grace on the gold trend. I don’t want to be defined by my love of shiny, sparkly things, but I can say with absolute confidence that I will always have it. And why shouldn’t I? Gold is pretty. End of story. We can say it’s on trend, but the fact is, like all beautiful materials, it is always on trend. Luckily, designers are constantly finding new, novel ways to showcase metallics. Case in point: these beautiful bags by Herringbone, a new line created by makeup artist Shawn Burke and Camille Mason of Magnet Boutique.

I may be a bit biased, since I know these lovely ladies, and I love to support great things coming out of the East Bay. But I’ve also seen and held these bags in person, so I can tell you that the leather is every bit as sumptuous and vivid as it appears. If you still need a gift for your best girlfriend, the mini-necessaire style (below) is my personal favorite, and the $120 price tag is pretty reasonable for such high quality leather. You can click here to see the full collection, which currently includes three styles in six colorways. β€”Β Kate
