We are so excited to head back to the West Coast for another event in California! I’ve never been to San Diego, so I’m excited to fly out for a craft event and book party at West Elm. Event: Crafting Event/Signing/Party at West Elm
Date: Thursday, November 10th, 2011
Time: 6:00–8:30pm (6:00–7:00 craft workshop/7:00–8:30 party, open to the public)
Location: West Elm (Mission Valley West, 5080 Mission Center Road, San Diego, CA 92108)
Craft Workshop: I will be demonstrating a project from the book using freezer paper to customize your own cloth-based products. Then we’ll all make them together!
Craft Fee: $45 per person (This includes all of your craft supplies and a signed copy of Design*Sponge at Home!)
RSVP: This crafting class is limited to 25 people, so please RSVP here soon if you’d like to attend.
Book Signing + Party: 7–8:30pm
Details: After the craft event, we’ll celebrate the book launch with a party (drinks + treats will be served) and book signing. We’ll also be supporting a great local arts charity, Rare Hare Studio. Local artist Heather Balliet of Amorology will be creating a custom backdrop against which you can take photos (thanks to Smilebooth) with your friends!

YAY! I was so bummed when I thought I wasn’t going to get see you on the book tour – everyone skips by SD because LA is “so close”. Can’t wait!
Wow, there’s already a wait list? But I’ve had this on my calendar for months! Hopefully I can come for “craft time”. Either way I’ll be there to get my book signed and hang out!

i’m afraid all the craft events tend to sell out same-day because they only hold 25-30 spots. but the main event/party is wide open :)

I thought there was a signing for San Diego on Nov 11th? If not then I’m so bummed because I won’t be able to return from a business trip in time to make it to the Nov 10th session. :(
