diy ottoman giveaway at tonight’s book event!

Tonight I’m so excited to add an extra special surprise to our book signing and craft demo at Anderson’s Books in Naperville, IL (outside of Chicago). Shelly Leer of Mod Home Ec, who shared her sewing expertise with us in Design*Sponge at Home, was kind enough to make a custom ombre-dyed ottoman that we’ll be giving away at tonight’s event! If you’re in the Chicago-are I hope you’ll come join us for a chance to win (event details here). Thank you so much again to Shelly! xo, grace

More about Shelly: Shelly Leer owned an upholstery business in Indianapolis for fifteen years. Now she’s teaching classes including Beginning and Intermediate Upholstery, Bench and Ottoman classes, Sewing Machine Basics, Pro Pillow Workshops and still to come, Headboards. She writes a weekly DIY column in the Indianapolis Star and is thrilled that her simple slipcover project is featured in Design Sponge at Home.
