weekly wrap up + paper cloth clay

Today I’m soaking up every bit of Brooklyn and my cats that I can before Amy and I head out for our longest leg of the book tour on the West Coast. Tomorrow morning, we’re doing a crafting segment (around 7:30am on Fox) and then running over to Newark to hop on a plane to Portland. I’m so excited for this part of the tour because we get to celebrate not just the book launch but also the launch of a fantastic new collaboration called CLOTH PAPER CLAY. This new project is a joint effort between Lynn Russell of Satsuma Press, Heather Moore of Skinny laMinx and Lisa Jones of Pigeon Toe Ceramics. They’ll be debuting their new textile, letterpress and ceramic designs at our joint party happening on Monday night at West Elm (details here). If you’re in the Portland area, I hope you’ll come out and join us. There will be awesome local ice cream from Salt & Straw and a beautiful backdrop from Cori Kindred, against which you can take photos (courtesy of Amy Nieto) with your friends. Until then, I hope you all have a great weekend, and I’ll see you back here on Monday. xo, grace

Hello Grace, great blog :-) I cut out your feature from the WashPo Express paper. This is not in response to the posting above, but I did not know how else to contact you: Please tell me where you got the white Euro sham and duvet featured on the front page titled “DIY Diva.” Thank you, great job on the headboard, and especially with the linen! So clean, yet vibrant…cannot wait to do the same in my current and/or next place. thanks. k.

The deer prints are lovely, especially the one on the white card. Comes up very well against the white background.
