Earlier this summer, before I packed up to leave Portland, I made a frantic drive around town trying to hit all the boutiques and shops I hadn’t visited. One of my favorites was a beautiful lingerie shop called Lille, which felt like walking into the dressing room of my dreams. As much as I loved their selection of lacier things, what stuck in my mind the most were the beautiful drawings by artist Sarah McNeil that decorated the walls. Their delicate lines and depictions of women (and adorably round animals) were the perfect accompaniment to a shop full of ladylike accessories.

Sarah is based in Tasmania, where she finds inspiration in the flora and fauna around her. Her giclee prints look sweet and sophisticated in person, and I’m pretty sure I’m about to add one to my Etsy shopping cart right now. If you’re as smitten with her prints as I am, you can pick up her artwork right here. You can also check out her portfolio site right here. Both are chock-full of beautiful work. xo, grace
*Be sure to check out her cute custom pet portraits!
More examples of Sarah’s work continue after the jump . . .

I love learning about new artists on D*S! I really like all her animal drawings.
So excited to see a Tasmanian artist on D*S and I hadn’t come across her either so I am off to check out her Etsy store. Might find something special for my daughter’s bedroom when we move… Love buying from locals :)

I love her stuff! She was one of the first illustrators whose names I knew (and could remember) and she’s been a favourite of mine for a long time. Her animal illustrations are just too cute!
