It’s rare that I find an artist who seems to so perfectly capture the way I feel about nature sometimes. Painter Jeremy Miranda has a new series of work at Little Paper Planes in which he examines nature/landscape and how people look to control or dwell within it. I didn’t grow up spending time around mountains or colder climates, so I find myself constantly attracted to, at the same time, terrified of them. They’re so wild and mysterious and overwhelming that it’s tempting to find a way to take refuge near them so you can catch a glimpse, but not be swallowed whole by their vastness. Jeremy’s prints for LPP depict landscapes that teeter back and forth between those feelings isolation and safety. I’m partial to the iceberg print above, but you can check out (and buy) the full collection right here. These are the sorts of images that will have be thinking and looking back at them all day today… xo, grace

Totally agree with this: “It’s rare that I find an artist who seems to so perfectly capture the way I feel about nature sometimes.”

The selection of pictures on display definitely back-up your point. Love it
