d*s book tour: los angeles event details!

After a week of rain, wind and general storm-craziness, Amy and I are excited to pack our bags for sunny Los Angeles next month. We can’t wait to meet up with those of you in the LA area to celebrate the book release and get our crafting on. I hope you’ll come join us (details below). xo, grace

Event: Craft/Book Signing/Celebration at Anthropologie
Date: Wednesday, September 28th, 2011
Time: 6–9pm (6–7pm craft workshop / 7:30–9:00pm signing + celebration)
Location: Anthropologie in Beverly Hills (211 South Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212)

Details: We will be teaching all craft-event participants how to make their own custom wooden wax seal! Craft guests will watch a demo, make their own wax seal and leave with the seal they made, along with sealing wax and stationery to test on. Afterward, we’ll get together for the larger celebration of the book launch, where you can buy copies of the book and have yours signed! Drinks and treats will be served. Proceeds from this event will benefit the local arts charity Free Arts.

We will also have a custom backdrop designed by the amazing women (and D*S contributors) of Bash Please, against which you can take photos (courtesy of Rachel Thurston) with your friends and fellow guests!

RSVP: The crafting event is limited to 33 people, so please RSVP HERE soon ($10 per person for the craft event). The main event will fill up quickly, so please RSVP HERE for that soon, as well.

  1. Megan says:

Apologies if this has been covered in a previous post, but if we register for the craft event, should we also RSVP for the main event? I have, but I don’t want to take up two extra places that could go to someone else.

    1. Grace Bonney says:

nope! you’re already rsvp’d for both if you do the craft event :)

  12. Holly says:

Can we have our own copy signed or do we have to buy the book at the event? Thanks!!!

    1. Grace Bonney says:

      hi holly

you’re welcome to bring your own copy, but the anthro edition has 16 extra pages, so if you’re in the mood for a little something extra i highly suggest picking up the special exclusive anthro edition when you’re there ;)
