Over the holiday weekend, I got to spend a little time with my grandmother, who I lovingly associate with mid-century pottery. Growing up, she always had an apartment filled with beautiful pottery, including a painted Picasso bird dish (a lot like this one) that made me smile. Whenever I see pieces like the ones above and below, they remind me of her home and how much I loved her closely curated collection. These pieces, designed by artist Janet Williams, are hand-thrown and glazed in Williams’ studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Williams has been making pottery for more than 40 years, and each piece of stoneware is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. If you love handmade pottery and the warmth it brings to a home, click here to check out and shop Williams’ full collection online. Thanks to her daughter Amelia for the tip! xo, grace

It’s so pretty. Wonderful colours!
Gorgeous stuff! Teal is such a hot color right now and this hits right no trend.
Nice amazing pottery
Absolutely love the colours!
How colorful! This reminds me of my mom, who loves unique pottery. :)
Beautiful! There are some really wonderful, unique pieces in the shop – I love those flowing glazes.
thanks for this…her stuff is absolutely fantastic!
Looks a bit like Marajoara pottery, Brazilian native artscraft, which was the inspiration for Art Deco in Brazil. Colors are different, of course – ours used only the natural color of clay. Very beautiful
