I may not be a big quotation girl, but man do I love a good map. I prefer old maps (I’ve got an embarrassing amount of eBay alerts set up for old maps and regional posters/paraphernalia), but I love when people tackle a country in a creative way. This new limited edition print from Jen + Omar at These Are Things approaches the United States map with a colorful flag theme. Each state is filled with its own pattern inspired by landscapes as seen from above in an airplane. If you’d like to bring this flag-filled map home, you can pick up a copy right here for $99. xo, grace

What a clever map design. I can see it being equally at home in an office or child’s room.
I absolutely love this map! It would be a great piece for the bedroom wall. :)
Cute! The little flags are awesome.
Love this one too. I’m kind of obsessed with maps of all kinds at the moment, but I love how simple this one is.
oh wow. I really like that–the flags are so adorable, I’m glad they didn’t add anything else to it–the simpler the better. I love this!
As much as I love great design, I also love information — especially on maps. I had assumed the flags would be state flags, which would have added graphic color and informational text. But these “flags” add nothing. Meh.
Alaska is 663268 sq mi, Texas is 268820 sq mi I wish this map reflected that. It is a common misconception that alot of people make.
This poster is amazing! I love the colours and the graphic-ness of it. Having recently created an accurate map for a children’s book I’ve really learned to appreciate a good interpretation and this is tops for me! It makes me want to take my newly found geographical knowledge and make something fun.
