This adorable Santa Cruz cottage is home to Scarlett Reed of Saffron and Genevieve. The cottage used to be part of a chicken ranch, and with its location just a short distance from the ocean, this cottage is both country and beach! Scarlett often rotates hand-picked antiques from her home to her shop. She is also an amazing interior designer, so naturally, her home is dreamy and full of color perfection. I ABSOLUTELY love this!!!!! I am an artist. I loved the first photo of the rustic desk and painting. It looks exactly like how I want my studio/work space to look. For whatever reason, I have had the hardest time trying to figure out how I want my studio to look, function, and feel. I guess it is such a personal and used space that it has been SO hard trying to design and decorate this space exactly the way I want it to feel. Weird right?!? Even with all of the paintings I have…. This was totally refreshing. Thank you for this post! It has totally inspired me today!
This decor is perfect for displaying paintings. Great inspiration!
Pretty palettes!
Scarlett has the best eye and is always ahead of the curve. No starfish and big letters!
What type of desk/table is the one in the first photo? It is a school house desk or something? It would work very well in the small office space I’ve got!
I just bought the vintage industrial stool you have listed! Ha ha. That’s the first time I’ve bought something directly after seeing it on a blog post, but I had been searching for one for a while, and this one was the perfect fit! So thank you!!! Also, I just love these rooms — especially the office.
So my style, especially the first pic!
I really love that first color palette. It’s that yellowy-green that makes it.
sorry for a silly question, but what do the PMS numbers correlate to?
