woop studios animal prints

Speaking of nature, it’s impossible to escape animal imagery in today’s design world. So many of us have soft spots for specific animals, and thankfully Woop Studios has decided to celebrate a group of animals (and insects) in print form. From kangaroos and bees to dogs and birds, Woop Studios has given each animal and insect its own colorful print. I think these would look fantastic in an adult or kid-centric room, but they’d be equally at home in an office or entryway (in a long set?). I’ve chosen my favorites* above and below, but there are many awesome designs to check out right here ($112 each, unframed). I’ve got my eye on the one above, but when it comes to animals, I think the foxes are my favorite. They’re such a pretty red/brown color. xo, grace

*Okay, the print above doesn’t feature animals, but it’s actually my favorite in their collection. It’s just lovely.

These are great. I recently learned that a collection of unicorns are called a blessing. Yes, A Blessing of Unicorns! (Apparently the collective noun game exists for fake animals too.) Would love to see that poster!

These are gorgeous! Has anyone seen them in person? A bit pricey for me to order sight unseen…

These are fantastic! I love how they look like illustrations in a mid-century children’s book. I memorized a lot of collective nouns while studying for a grad school entrance exam – I see one of my favorites here: a murder of crows! Another excellent one: a group of apes is referred to as a shrewdness.

Rachel – go to woopstudios.com…there IS a blessing of unicorns! ;o)

Rae: I have four prints & the quality is gorgeous – fine art heavy paper & pigment inks. The prints are hand embossed, numbered & signed. Highly recommend! :)

Oh my! I was literally just searching yesterday for these collective nouns (Except I didn’t know what they were called – thank you Maison Marigold!). I google searched ‘darkness of crows’, I think, and turned up zilch (likely because that’s the wrong combination). Not only are these pretty-pretty, but they’re word-pretty, as well. Loverly.

These are so great! They would be amazing in a nursery or kids room.

These are fantastic, thanks so much for sharing them!

The pictures are simply magical. They are comparable to Eric Carle’s work in my opinion, even a cut above. I think they should not be limited to nurseries; I think they’re perfect for doctor’s waiting rooms, etc.

Jayca: I think it’s a murder of crows :)

Absolutely gorgeous prints!

Hi – I’m one of the Woop Studios partners and so happy to read what’s been written about us here – Mira, Eduardo and I are so proud of what we’ve started. In the fall Chronicle will be launching a children’s book called ‘A Zeal of Zebra” its an opportunity to see an alphabet and find out some great facts about the animals. Thank you all for your kind words

My friend is obsessed with names of groups of animals. Nevermind that he’s 40…he will now get one of these for each special occasion!

Can’t wait for the book!
