Though we’ve been in to our new apartment for almost a month now, we haven’t come close to beginning the decorating process yet. We sold most of our furniture before we moved and part of me has been relishing feeling so unencumbered by stacks of “stuff” and more chairs than we could possibly need. The only area of the apartment I feel particularly excited to start decorating is our porch, namely because it’s finally starting to get warm outside. Most of the outdoor couches and chairs I’ve seen seem to scream “retirement home” so I’ve been on the lookout for something cooler and slightly more modern. And while these chairs are sadly way out of my price range, I thought they were too beautiful not to share.

Designed by Todd Fillingham in Milwaukee, these modern patio chairs are made of solid walnut, northern white cedar and stainless steel. To me they have a nice Eames feel while still keeping elements of more classic deck chairs, which I love. Each chair weights 10 pounds and both the wood and steel are rot and water resistant (though you’ll want to treat the wood if you leave it out in the rain frequently).
