diy project: valentine’s day DIY video from tiger in a jar

Nothing makes my heart go pitter-patter quite like an adorable handmade valentine . . . that moves! Matt and Julie are the husband-and-wife team behind the creative studio Tiger in a Jar. This “Valentine’s Day Cakes” DIY video is just one of several amazing film projects they’ve completed recently, and if you’re looking for some inspiring creativity to brighten your day, you should definitely check out all the Tiger in a Jar movies here.

Matt and Julie specialize in party planning, film making, and hunting down awesome vintage. I also like to think of them as being arbiters of wit, fun and good taste in general. The craft and quality of their films is top notch to be sure, but it’s the clever, original narratives that keep me watching over and over. They never fail to make me smile, and that’s exactly what I want from a Valentine’s project. Thanks for sharing, Matt + Julie! — Kate

Too cute. Thanks for the fun!
I would love to learn how to do this stop action animation. You are inspiring me to check out the Vimeo film school.

Best wishes,

That was the perfect bit of whimsy for this dreary day! Thanks for sharing the goodness. Design*Sponge continues to rock.

How wonderful! This just made my cold snowed-in morning, cheery and bright! xo Ez

I’ve seen a lot of creative things, but this is by far the coolest one ever! It all flows together so creatively… I want one!

GREAT post thanks for sharing this creative video! Now I just need to go bake a cake and get that song out of my head! :)

If that doesn’t brighten up your day, then I don’t know what else will! Tastefully done, and I love the song!!! :)
