I remember growing up and thinking that the parquet in my friend Lauren’s home was the coolest, fanciest thing I’d ever seen. The pattern spread across a huge floor seemed so luxurious and that classic herringbone look has been a favorite of mine ever since. So when I saw this new Parquet Table from Something from Us, I was interested from the get-go. Designed by Mark Irlam, the table comes in three colors: white, black and blue. Each tabletop is hand-veneered with teak veneer strips in a beautiful herringbone pattern. The table is 35 inches in diameter, perfect for a small kitchen or apartment dining room (or a small workspace in a home office). If you’re interested in checking out the table in detail (as well as more work from SFU), click here to view their collection online. xo, grace

What a terrific idea, I have a hotel banquet table as a dining room table, I use 2 table cloths to cover it, it would be an alternative for me for a lighter look.
Thanks

ohhh, i remember picking out this tiny parquet flooring for my dollhouse as a kid. this top plus the clean legs is very pretty.
Great idea. When I bought my 1950th Florida home I used part of the old wooden parquet flooring and re-used it for the kitchen bar. It was free material which stayed true to the character of the original house. Money well saved.
