I’ll be honest — I’m not normally a fan of things made from old records. The pieces I see in shops and at flea markets tend to be of the “melted over a cup” variety and almost always look the same. So when I saw an email from Pavel Sidorenko in Estonia, I felt myself starting to say, “Errrgh, no more bowls made from records, please.” But I was pleasantly surprised by these fun cut-record clocks. Pavel creates these playful designs by laser cutting vinyl records into different shapes. I’m partial to the cut-outs that look like people (they remind me of simpler, vinyl versions of Rob Ryan’s work) but the animal shapes are fun, too. If you’re looking to keep time with something a little different, check out the full collection of Pavel’s clocks right here ($51 each). xo, grace

Well I think I know what I’m getting my brother for a Christmas present!
Oh you’ve given me a wonderful gift idea now! I like the NY skyline, my husband would love that in his man cave.
the last one with NYC is really cool! thank you for sharing…
you’re right. it is better than the usual stuff. i especially like the couple at the top holding hands.
wow, these are really cool! Very unique. I might get one for my friend who’s in love with records and record players
Very imaginative. First and last are best for mine.
Neato!
I agree with you on all the bowls out there made out of LP’s, not my favorite and way over done. Now this is, I would buy for sure. How unique, creative and tastefully done these are!
These are so cool, what a fantastic idea.
Wooowwwww!!! My fave is the first.
Careful. Laser cutting vinyl can produce toxic gases.
A unique decorating idea and the perfect gift for a music lover all in one. And they are functional to boot. These clocks are awesome.
Wow. These are so clever. How great would one of these look in a teenager’s room!?!
love the couples clock but they are all amazing.
How cool!! I’m actually lucky enough to be visiting Tallinn (Estonia’s capital city) in the end of this month, maybe I’ll pay a visit to Sidorenko’s store… :)
As Seattle Residential Architects mentioned, laser cutting vinyl or PVC creates poisonous fumes. Be careful!
Looks a lot like the work of Carlos Aires:

veryyyyyyyyyyy gooood :D
Love the NYC clock!!
Any music lover who LOVES vinyl would cringe to see this…Who wants to see a nice record turned into a bunny clock…yeah it’s creative but I’d rather take a scratched unplayable record…keep it intact and turn it into a clock…I mean why damage it so it looks cutesy…
