new: bev hisey dhuri rug + giveaway
I’ve been a fan of Bev Hisey‘s rugs since I first saw them at ICFF back in 2006. I love the way Bev plays with lush textures and bold geometric patterns to create rugs that look almost too pretty to walk on (with even the cleanest of feet). So I was thrilled to hear that Bev recently decided to branch out and add three new dhuri rugs to her collection.
She’s starting with three styles: a grey geometric pattern, a warm gold and yellow pattern and a blue and turquoise zig zag pattern. And today we’re especially lucky because Bev was kind enough to offer one of the beautiful blue and turquoise rugs pictured above to a D*S reader (top image above)! I don’t typically do giveaways here but I couldn’t turn down Bev’s offer because, well, her rugs are seriously gorgeous. And frankly, a new rug for the holidays would be at the top of my list so I figured it might be at the top of one of yours, too. Here are the prize/rug details:
- One winner will receive this turquoise and blue dhuri rug
- Size of the rug: 6.5′ x 8.5′
- The rug is handwoven in India of 100% Wool. (Bev is a certified Goodweave member, which assures that no child labor is used or unethical working conditions are part of the production of this rug)
Entry rules/details:
- Contest is open to continental U.S. and Canada residents only
- To be eligible please leave a comment containing a link to a photo of the room in which you’d like to use Bev’s rug. You can do this by linking to a twitpic, yfrog image, Flickr image or an image hosted on your blog or another server. Please do not leave a Facebook or Myspace link if your account is private, we will not be able to see it.
- Comments will be open until tomorrow evening, November 23rd at 10pm EST
- The winner will be announced via email and as an update this to this post on Wednesday morning, November 24th.
Thanks so much to Bev for sharing one of her rugs with us and good luck to everyone! xo, grace
UPDATE: Congrats to Wesley Mann who is the winner of the rug giveaway! After reading through all of your wonderful comments Bev selected the winner and Wesley will be receiving a rug soon. Congrats and thank you to Bev for donating her beautiful rug :)
I’d like to use the rug as a starting point for re-thinking my sleeping area!

These are so pretty! I just upgraded my living room a couple months ago – and the only thing left to add is a rug. This one would be perfect in my living room:

Well, this picture is just a sneak peak through the doorway of our bedroom, but this is totally where I’d put the rug because you’re right – it’s too beautiful for anything other than the cleanest of feet!

I would definitely put that rug in my living room, layering it over my lrental’s undesireabe wall to wall carpet would add a lovely pop of color and pattern.

Oi! This room is a constant work in progress. I’ve changed the lamps and side tables since this photo was taken, but I’m still working on incorporating cooler colors. The room feels to warm and yellow-y. Would love to pull from those stripes of turquoise into the accessories.

This is a rather old picture (we’ve since added and rearranged a bit), but this is the room that desperately needs a new rug.
We just moved into a new house and I am in need of a living room rug! Check out the space here! http://www.lilymagnolia.com/2010/10/new-houseso-far.html

I DEPLORE the rug I have in my living room now and have been looking for a new one since I bought it. This would be the perfect combination of color and pattern!

My new, no longer shiny navy blue office. For some reason I have not taken any pictures since I painted it light grey. It’s very soothing. This rug would definitely help pull the whole thing together.

http://restonme.blogspot.com/2010/10/birdy.html
I had exactly the same idea for a contest to give away a rug or wallpaper! Wow! :-)
This is my room. The furniture is actually gone from the room now because it was too big, and new arm chairs are on the way (ordered and being upholstered). The windows will have blue and gold curtains (also on order), and this rug would go perfect.

This is a picture of the living room in the house I’m moving into at the beginning of December. I just got my first real, grown-up job, and am moving to a new city, into the first place that will be wholly my own.
Unfortunately, my living room will look an awful lot like this picture even after I’ve moved in–besides for a bed and some chairs, I’m pretty such starting from nothing. It’s scary and exciting at the same time, and I’d really love to have a piece like this to build my design around.
A little spray paint, new pillow covers, add a few pops of turquoise here and there… I would make it work!
http://www.alisonbecca.com/2010/11/art-hound-first-step/
I’m going to daydream about this all day!
I’d love to replace our traditional living room rug with this one! http://www.flickr.com/photos/84541519@N00/4539248689/in/set-72157624747895809/
I love this. Sorry for the picture not being in color. My walls are a pale grey and my bedding is a blue quilt and the nina paisley by Crate and Barrel.

My husband and I are at the point where we are trying to scrape together the money to replace the “just moved in and married” furniture with some nicer, mid century modern items. Top of our list is the living room. We’re hoping to replace the couches on black Friday. And the carpet on the floor is ABYSMAL!! Our cat ripped it to shreds as a kitten. The turquoise and blue dhuri rug is not only a necessary replacement (don’t worry, we finally trained the cat) but it would go PERFECTLY with the color scheme of our room. We’re buying the corona sofa and love seat in pear and stone, and our walls are turquoise!! Please help save our living room disaster! OH Crap! I was just sorting dirty laundry all over my living room, but I think that rug would look awesome with my vintage red velvet sofa! I’m gonna have to un-sort my clothes and get a pic in asap!
I’m moving to a new apartment in two weeks! I would love this rug to go in my future living room!

It would totally match my living room seen here: http://www.weremovingwest.com/storage/julyhouse6.jpg
And the adjoining kitchen is painted green just like the rug!

Gorgeous rugs! I would covet one for our in-the-works studio. All the more inspiration to get our space done and projects going. Being a very geometric and color loving person myself, this rug would be the perfect addition to our creative space.

I need a rug so badly and this one is so divine!!! It must be mine, pretty please =)

Ok, so this is not *technically* my room (yet). I am currently looking for my first home and I have fallen in love with one in particular. I’m thinking gray walls/stark white bedding/bright rug. It would signify a fabulous start to my new life as a homeowner!
I have been looking for a rug for our dining room for years now, & a dhuri has been at the top of my list. Oh, that blue & turquoise zig zag pattern would pull our room together perfectly, & complement the adjoining living room. Bev Hisey’s designs & colors are to die for!

I had to finally write a post, just so I could include photos of the house we’re about to move into. Here’s one: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_MHRNYYAEQrA/TOqQqRLLK4I/AAAAAAAAAAQ/CRaMTcQOFxE/s1600/232558_1590689_lg.jpg
Please note that everything in the room belongs to the previous owners, and I will be doing my best to make the place look RADICALLY different.
my kitchen still looks pretty dark since the table and the floors are medium to dark brown. a fun bev hisey rug would be perfect to brighten the space and it matches the rest of the color scheme perfectly!

I would love the chance to win this rug for the house we just bought! This is the property listing, and so it’s their furniture, but I would love to put it in the living room right in front of the fireplace. What a great pop of color.

My fiance will be moving in with me soon, and this is the master bedroom of a single student that will be painted and transformed into that of a married couple. The carpet is stained and awful, screaming out for a gorgeous rug like this!

Oh wow, what a beautiful rug! I’d love to win it for our dining room:
http://ourredbrickhouse.shutterfly.com/344#343
We just moved into our house (an old brick Victorian) in February and are slowly getting things in place. The dining room has the bare bones in place —like that table, which is made from reclaimed wood and probably my favorite thing that I own. But we’ve kept everything very neutral while we were getting the big pieces nailed down and now I’m ready to add some more texture and warmth! And gray/green/turquoise are some of my absolutely favorite colors!
Wow, what a generous giveaway! I have a guest room that is painted celery and currently has an ugly brown shag rug that sheds like crazy. This rug would be perfect in my room without even changing the wall color. I would love love love to win! Thank you so much for the chance.

I’m patiently waiting on my new gray Crate & Barrel Lounge sofa and have been rug shopping. I can’t wait to get rid of the red furniture – I love lots of color but its way too hard to decorate around. Here’s the room.
My bedroom is in need of some visual interest: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/FXxeYWH_4YizEjjjlf5pQA?feat=directlink
A GORGEOUS new rug for the winter would be amazing. I love Bev’s designs because they are ethical and tres-chic. Our living room is perfect for show casing this rug: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fleurchilds/5198780952/
AHHH! We love Bev Hisey!
All I can say is, cottage reno phase two. The guest house is getting an overhaul at some point, and this is great incentive. I am thinking in the living room, after we tear up the carpet and floor tiles underneath. Hoping for hardwood again, and this rug would be perfect!

So beautiful! Here is my living room for consideration: http://twitpic.com/39731g
I think I would cry if we won this!
I would love to win this rug for our living room. We just got married in June and this is our first living room, we have worked really ahrd making it homie/stylish with our tight budget. The rug that we have there now is a lender from my mom, however it does not fit the space and it makes it really dull and boring espcially since we cant paint the walls (we are renters) We would love love love this rug because it would make our apartment more lively and colorful which is very important to me being South American and living in such a cold city (toronto).
Here is our pic!
I live in snowy Lake Tahoe, and it seems as if everything around us is a solid color — especially the 3+ feet of white white snow we got this weekend, and our current living room design, pictured here:

We would give your beautiful rug such a loving mountain home!
I just bought my first home this month. The sellers led me to believe the hardwood floors under the carpet would be in very good condition, however they were very far from it. Currently I can not afford to repair the floors. This rug would not only be a good kick off house warming gift and small step toward my hopes to achieve a wonderful design over time, but a great rug to help add something attractive to my currently not so attractive floors. Once i can afford to fix my floors, the rug would go very well with the design ideas I have for my 3 yr old sons room.

OK. So crappy cell phone pic, but am I wrong in thinking that the above rug would look pretty eclectically awesome with my red velvet sofa and chairs? I have turquoise accents everywhere to make the red pop, and I think this rug would pull everything together beautifully!

Hard to take pics in my small bedroom turned office, but to the left of my desk is a bare floor in need of a fresh carpet. Wow, what a great giveaway! Thanks for hosting, and thanks to Bev for offering up one of her beauties! I would put this in our living room… It’s in the process of a total makeover. Here’s the before:

(should be a public link). It feels so stuffy, I’m really looking forward to lightening it up and making it feel more youthful and fun. I know that rug would be right at home in the new room!
We are remodeling a 1957 house, attempting to evoke a mid-century modern feel. The rug would look so perfect with my sofa and would help with the light-at-the-end-of-the remodeling tunnel!
I love Bev Hisey‘s rugs! This would be perfect in my breakfast area. My new apt has ugly carpeting and I would love this beautiful rug!
Wow. Gorgeous rug. My husband and I are studying abroad and have no money to decorate with! Thankfully our school apartment came mostly furnished, but it certainly lacks in decor. What it lacks in decor, though, it makes up for in light and fresh air. I would love to take this back with me after we visit home this summer! (We have permanent US address.)
It’s hard to see the room in this picture, but you can get an idea by flipping through some of the others. It’s a rectangular room, with one window, a “built in” wardrobe/cupboard and shelves flanking the desk. Opposite the window is the door to the kitchen. We don’t even have a couch! But the warmth of a beautiful rug would be awesome :) And a nice rug to transition to a more permanent home several years from now.

This is my future family room! We are in the offer process, and are already planning for ways to make our new space feel like home. This rug will really help!
Hello Grace! I would use this rug in my living room as a neutral base for the variety of colors and textures already there. Thanks for your amazing blog and the chance to win a delightful rug!

Post-Halloween candy count – god I hate that rug! My husband bought it in his previous marriage (his ex-wife has the same one, so you know, that’s incredibly WEIRD!!!) and it’s just so damned busy, it totally camouflages the junior mints and little hershey bars!
I’m just looking for a flooring cover that is cohesive for the space, that brings the mellow blues and greens together rather than fracturing them with shades of apricot and browns. It’s a hardy rug, but looks awful in every single room in our home. That gorgeous giveaway rug would look so amazing in the living room, make it a playful and more modern space the instant we put it down! I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed!

We’ve been looking for a earthy/mod carpet to spruce up our bedroom. I Love this carpet! I’m keeoing my fingers crossed.

We’re actually moving to a house built in 1934 with beautiful hardwood floors, and I’m actively looking for a bigger rug for my newly-walking baby girl. This rug would be perfect and look awesome with my green chair! It’s so me.
http://mommapoole.wordpress.com/2010/10/30/new-living-room/
The cowhide rug in my living room is pretty old and worn out – I think the Bev Hisey rug would be a perfect replacement!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/krambrose/4650638029/in/set-72157624037973441/
I’d use it in my living room! It’s really the main room/heart of the house – we have an open floor plan and the living/dining/kitchen are really one big room. The best view of most of the space (including the floor) is here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mary-heather/3241965275/
We have lots more art on the walls now, as well as a new deep brown leather chair, and the colors in the rug would be great on the tile floors and the more colorful walls.
We just added the Big Sur dining table from Crate & Barrel to this room in our new house…now we need a colorful rug to really make it stand out:

I’d love it on the floor in my living room!!! My current rug would be very happy in the bedroom instead.

This room has changed a little since that picture was taken, but we still need a rug in there. We moved almost a year ago and we have over 2200 sqft of wood floors, but no rugs!
This rug is gorgeous, just the right size for that side of the living room and the couch on the other side is turquoise. It would be perfect, but it’s way out of our price range. I’d be beyond thrilled to win it.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/48219099@N02/4498951410/in/photostream/
Ooh, this rug would look lovely in my living room. The turqoise would work wonders with the pillows, the geometric pattern would echo the lamps & the yellow would lighten the room.
Hope I win ; )

The green and gray rug would look great in my much in need of an upgrade living room! http://www.flickr.com/photos/reneesance/4294159656/in/set-72157623233041069/
My wife has conveniently left this page open for me to see. I’m assuming she wants me to post a picture of our tired rug. She is lovely and sneaky and she really hates our rug.
Thanks.
I would LOVE this rug in my bedroom! I have a teal/grey/green color theme which would fit this rug perfectly! I only have one wall pictured but I’m posting more images of the room today! Thanks D*S!

My living room rug is one of those horrible $49.99 rugs-in-a-roll that you get from “Linens & Beyond” type stores., which, at the time, I thought rather pretty. But now… no, just no. Take pity on me.
http://lookingforzen.typepad.com/.a/6a0133f3bbee70970b013486de9388970c-pi
I’d love to use that rug in my son’s bedroom — his attic room (still under construction) has some similar angles, and I think the rug would play beautifully off those:

After living in our Nashville apt for a little over a year we are finally happy with our living room, but now I am struggling to do something with our neglected bedroom/office, and on a grad-student budget nonetheless! I think the dhuri rug would look great in the area between the bed and desk. And I’m sure our pup would love to snooze on it while I work at the desk!
http://picasaweb.google.com/MissMollyKing/Bedroom#
This rug would be absolutely PERFECT for our bedroom, which has gray, green and blue accents. We need something to warm up the hardwood floors before the harsh New England winter descends!

sorry for the post again, the photos didnt work in my previous post. with the link there are 6 photos.
before I even considered tearing the carpet out “considering i am broke” I asked the sellers what kind of condition the floors where in. The response “Beautiful, they are just beautiful” lesson learned.
-”
I just bought my first home this month. The sellers led me to believe the hardwood floors under the carpet would be in very good condition, however they were very far from it. Currently I can not afford to repair the floors. This rug would not only be a good kick off house warming gift and small step toward my hopes to achieve a wonderful design over time, but a great rug to help add something attractive to my currently not so attractive floors. Once i can afford to fix my floors, the rug would go very well with the design ideas I have for my 3 yr old sons room.”
Thank you, Good luck everyone.
I know this magnificent rug is only a band aid for this room, but it may help distract the eye from these black leather monstrosities my fiance calls sofas…
http://twitpic.com/397olr
It would certainly perk up my icky dorm room while it waits to find a home wherever I live next year!

This rug is so pretty! I need a bigger rug for our babies nursery. All I have now is a really old, really small white one that is falling apart. This rug would look perfect!

Love the rug! Not sure if my previous picture is the right link, so here’s another.

The perfect spot for that gorgeous rug? My first place that I’ll be moving into in less than a month!! The front living room is where I think it’ll look best. (Currently is used as a bedroom). I have big plans for this room. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
http://twitpic.com/397rxk
I don’t think that I’ve ever wanted to win anything more! We’re moving in to a new house in about a week and this would be amazing in our living room. We basically have no furniture yet (and literally no rugs!), so the rug would be a great place to start!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/annarafalski/5198486645/
I would proudly install this rug in my living room where tones of grey, yellow, and light aqua rule. Fingers crossed.

Hello,
What a great giveaway. My husband and I just bought our first home. We had our first child three months ago, our happy babe Jude. At the moment he sleeps in our room. I have just put together his nursery over the weekend and was wishing I had a rug. http://www.flickr.com/photos/janerovers/5199160688/
We have really tried to go with handmade and fair labour items as we would like Jude to appreciate these kinds of practices.
Best of luck to all!
I would give the rug to my friend angelune as an early wedding present (next oct!) even though she has the nicest dark hardwood floors. It is soo her.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/angelune/4923910418/
We’re just finishing a sun room that will be a hangout for my kids and this rug would be perfect – I’ve already painted the walls a deep blue!
This rug would be great for my living room. http://gallery.me.com/wwharrison#100040&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0
I would love this rug in my living room! I’ve got a lot of neutral, I could use some colour!
http://yfrog.com/1fxjkhj
This is such a fantasic giveaway, and I appreciate both Design*Sponge and Bev for making it happen. This rug would be perfect in the living room for my very first home that I’m buying! I just moved to a new town, to start a new job, and I buying a new home. This rug would be great inspiration for decorating!

This room needs a rug, the other one is a family heirloom and got moved out of the traffic patterns into a bedroom and nothing has been put there to replace it.
These are all really beautiful wool rugs! I’d love one to warm up our oh-so-chilly Newfoundland apartment, and I bet my beagle would love it, too. Here’s a recent photo of him hanging out on our bed, forgoing the floor for a warmer spot in the sun: http://twitpic.com/3987h9 The rug would be used here, and moved along with us until we’re finally living somewhere for longer than a year!
In my living room! We’ve finished laying our new flooring. Now we need to warm things up! And we REALLY need a beautiful rug. Here’s my living room, while flooring was in progress…

I’d love this rug in my living room.

Nacho the cat would love a new rug, as he is currently pretty bummed out about the scratchy K-mart special one we have in the living room. Complete with an iron burn mark and matching spaghetti sauce stained runner!!!
http://www.erinnharrington.com/Ugly.jpg
After moving, I decided to paint our living room a color that’s BRIGHT and LIVELY and FUN. I think I picked a good shade, the downside being that none of our belongings matched. Hello, re-decorating time! This rug would be perfect to build my living room around.
http://twitpic.com/398cs9
I have really gross carpet in my living room. It has such potential!
http://yfrog.com/5x1h8j
I thought I’d add a newer pic of our living room. The rug is actually on loan from my in-laws. It would be amazing to have one of our own – especially as luxurious as this one is!

I’d LOVE a Bev Hisey(fellow Torontonian) rug for our TV room! The Ikea rug isn’t cutting it!
http://www.themarionhousebook.com/?attachment_id=2736
I have been feeling very blah about my living room lately. Its not inspiring me much these days. The rug near the couch is too traditional for my taste. This rug would really make a statement in an otherwise neutral room and give me a foundation for adding in more pattern and fun. I love the graphic print, movement of the design, and color palette. I’m such a fan of dhuri rugs. I think it would contrast well with the one I have under the round table.

My office is currently in a state of serious rug shame. Help!
could really really use a rug in this dining room! ive been wanting one since we moved in!

What a thoughtful, generous gift for Thanksgiving and the holidays!
That gorgeous tan, olive, and turquoise color combination exactly matches the Arts & Crafts -era tile around our fireplace, just what the room needs to blend the hand-crafted old with a beautiful, modern hand-crafted new!
http://flickr.com/gp/h1113/7454wJ
an incredibly perfect rug.
i hope i win it.
cheers.

I’ve been shopping for just the right rug, I need to pull the room together and add a shot of color. The Bev Hisey rug would be perfect. pick me pick me :)
I recently moved into my first apartment and have been slowly piecing it together. This rug would be lovely in my living/dining room. It would really bring the piecemeal furniture and color scheme together. Thank you!
I’ve been looking for a rug with just this coloring for a long time! I’ve warmed the room up since this photo was taken with artwork and a new chandelier in the dining space, but this rug is what is missing to pull it all together.
http://twitpic.com/398u6s
Wow. Great giveaway. I’d totally use this in our bedroom. I think it would look great with our existing color scheme in there.

That rug would be the perfect counterpoint to our living room!
We’ve been renovating our 1909 house for three months. Here’s a peek at our bedroom that looks out on a Douglas Fir tree. As you can see, even without artwork, we love to use bright colors to get us through the Seattle winters. I think this fetching rug would be perfect here!

MOST UGLY ROOM EVER…DESPERATELY NEEDS THIS RUG! :)
Alright, so I’d very much would LOVE to be the proud owner of this rug. However, I don’t have a photo of the room I would put it in yet. BUT WAIT, don’t let this tiny little insignificant piece of info pass me by! My fiance and I are currently waiting to hear back on if I’ve been approved for an apartment. It will be our very first place together. So it will require me to decorate using items that will reflect Both of our tastes. Which this rug does! It will be a great first item to put in our living room. Believe me when I say winning this rug will be a life saver since I can also use it as a legitimate excuse to get my guy to throw out a hideous worn out rug he’s so fond of. (It’s like walking on carpet made of itchy straw. Ew.) So please save my eyes and my feet!
oops, I forgot the pic!

If I was the lucky winner of the Bev Hisey Rug Giveaway, I would defintely use it in our dining room. It is one of my favourite rooms in the house because it is where we gather as a family to share meals and discuss our day. I can’t think of a more deserving room to have a little gorgeousness in it. Also, my husband and I are expecting our first baby come January and well the dining room has been a bit neglected and is in a desperate need of a little pick me up!

The rug would be gorgeous in my reading room, as it would perfectly pick up the colors in the painting, which was painted by my extraordinary grandmother, and keep the room warm for my tiny dog, because it is almost winter in Chicago!
I would like to use this rug as a starting point to decorate my bedroom, which as you can see is very bare bones right now.

This is my current studio (right after I moved in), but actually, my boyfriend and I are planning to get a new place together and I want to get rid of that old target rug for something more awesome – like the one you posted!
it’d go in our bedroom! it’s 3/4 of the way through renovation. we’re going with the paint color on the bottom left :)

I love the rug – beautiful colors that would absolutely liven and warm-up my sad home office!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/56204147@N05/?saved=1
Wondeful rug!.I like the paterns.I would be lucky to win.
the DIE CUT 5MM, 100% WOOL FELT RIVER ROCK AREA CARPET is beautiful!!!
We just closed on a darling little 1940’s bungalow today! I love the colors of the rug, which can be found elsewhere in the house, and would certainly brighten up this room (soon to be our master bedroom, and looking a little gloomy right now):

Oh my goodness! This rug would be PERFECT for our living room. Our little apartment. We have basic beige carpet, an that rub would really anchor the living room and help divide the living area from the entrance. It would look great with our dark sofa and antique trunk coffee table (which doubles as storage for my husband’s rockband set). Plus is would help balance the HUGE TV my husband gifted himself last Christmas. ^_-
Here is a decently recent photo:

Thanks!
My living room could seriously use a gorgeous rug. And some wonderful d*s’er to rearrange my furniture. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
http://craftywinner.blogspot.com/2010/11/rug-id-like-to-win.html
We LOVE this rug — as you can see in the link, it would go perfectly in our mid-century modern home! Though the colors aren’t great in the pics, the chair/lamp are olive, the tile floor is turquoise, and the painting above the fireplace is a more brilliant turquoise with olive. We’ve been dying to replace the too-small & not-at-all-right hand-me-down Persian rug, but just haven’t had the funds. Crossing my fingers!

I am in love with this rug and need it so desperately to cover our horrible carpets in our living room. Our kitchen floor is also bare and cold so in either room this rug would sure warm my heart and our home <3
Gorgeous rug – I’m a big fan of geometrics, and those colours are perfect. I have a tiny bachelor apartment in an old “character building” and it gets pretty darn chilly in here. Winning this would be totally lux!

Wow, what a beautiful rug!! My fiance and I are just buying our first apartment together in Manhattan and this would be an amazing piece to design the living room around. We were already thinking turuoise, teal, gray, and brown– so this is literally perfect!

These rugs are beautiful! I have been looking for a rug for my dining room for a long time: http://yfrog.com/0iddpyj
oh wow! such beautiful pieces! This would inject much personality into our bedroom. Our focus has been on making the public rooms of our (very) humble little place cozy and sweet… the neglected bedroom needs you! I think I’d about die for the turquoise combined with the deep purple dupioni headboard I made. I think this is a piece that’d stay with my boyfriend and I forever, as a solid building block for every stage of our lives. From our tiny rental bedroom, to the living room of our first house, and maybe even one day in our incredibly hip future baby’s space. I’d love to drag this with us through cross-country moves and whatever else life may bring and be reminded of exactly where we are right now. A young couple, just beginning our life together, with one incredibly cool rug.

We would LOVE that rug in our living room. We enjoy entertaining guests in our living room but we are often embarrassed of the stained carpet that we have in the living room of our early 1900’s yellow house. The rest of the rooms have rugs or hardwood floor, but we have not found a rug worthy of our main entertaining space. THIS RUG IS PERFECT!

Having just moved cross-country for grad school I’m trying to decorate our tiny cottage. This rug would look great with the vintage green leather couch I scored on craigslist!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/emiliaegarcia/5200131480/
And someone else would probably appreciate a beautiful rug to rest her furry head upon:

This new room that my husband (and son!) just finished renovating in our basement is in dire need of a new rug!! (And everything else for that matter!)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/14623518@N00/5200155562/
I would use that gorgeous rug to cover up the unexciting brown carpet in my bedroom. When I move into my own home, I’d use it as a starting point in my living room!

I really need a rug for the bedroom, but this is so fun that I’d have to put it somewhere that everyone could see. It would probably give me the inspiration to finish hanging my picture cluster there, so.. being chosen for this rug would be a double win for me!
So gorgeous. I love the modern design and warm look of the wool. The colour palette is right up my alley and would look lovely in our cozy blue/green bedroom:

Our living room which is open to most of the downstairs really could use a rug to define the space. This rug would look amazing! http://mintbasil.blogspot.com/2009/10/before-and-after-curtains.html
Now I *have* to go check out other peoples rooms!
I like to dream yes, yes, right between my sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here

My husband and I were just married October 9th, we are saving for a home, (hopefully soon!) this would make a wonderful starting point for the color scheme of our new living room. Until then it would look beautiful in our current home, pictured here:

We had a rug in our baby’s room when this photo was taken almost 2 years ago and it has not held up very well…would love to replace it with a much more high quality, beautiful and unique rug. Go Bev!
OMG i do not have pics of my home posted online. lol… i’m a single mom with a toddler… not safe to post such things. better to just put a big flashing neon sign outside. despite this… i really adore these rugs and we have all wood floors with desperate need for rugs. unfortunately most affordable options are ugly, too thick and carpet-ish, or trying to be some ugly Ikea version of “modern”. Not so with these three stylish options!

Great geometric patterns are hard to come by where I live in north Alabama, and Bev’s beautiful rug would look so good in my living room! See image 07:

Our studio apartment was a candle making studio before our time so when we moved in the floors were so ugly and stained up with dye but we couldn’t afford to re-floor so we just painted and now we really need a great rug to cover even more of the imperfections. I have met Bev and think she and her rugs are great but can not afford one on my own …so winning one would be great!!
When I moved in with my boyfriend a couple years ago the one thing I really didn’t like was his living room rug – not my favorite colors, pattern, etc. We got a puppy a year ago and when he slowly started doing a number on the rug I have to say I wasn’t that upset. We kept the puppy (Abe) but lost a rug. Abe just turned one and is finally past the rip everything up stage. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect rug and I really love this one – I think Abe would approve as well.

Oh my goodness, I’d for sure put it in my bedroom where there is currently nothing but wood underfoot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paperdaystudio/3968189444/in/set-72157622360508065/
we clearly love our blues and greens–we think our floor would too.

Oofta! It’s hard to compete with 255 (and counting…) comments/entries, but I’ll give it a shot.
1. Just sold everything I owned and moved from Oregon to DC.
2. I’m enjoying the spoils of living without roommates for the first time and am so excited to make my space into a beautiful, cozy retreat.
3. I’m missing a substantial amount of furniture and decor.
4. My BIRTHDAY is tomorrow! (Nov. 23rd) (Happy 25th you say? Why thank you!)
It’s a studio apartment, and this lovely rug would help define my living room space. Wouldn’t it look great with my brand new big-kid couch?
(Clearly I need better lighting too, as this is one of the grainiest photos I’ve ever taken.)

I just ripped up some ugly old carpet and found this beautiful old fir hardwood underneath. It is super lovely but it has been so cold in the Pacific Northwest of Canada lately and my town is too small to have cute carpet stores…. Of course everybody needs a nice area rug too!
I couldn’t take a good picture of it w/ my phone but the fireplace and one of the walls is painted in Benjamin Moore’s “Dior Grey” and this carpet would look very friendly with it I think!
Also I am nice.
I love the blog! Thanks for all the inspiration!!!

I would love it in the living room.
Oh look, a cute kitty and adorable pup in a sad sad room.
As you can see, our living room is like 2 ikea steps up from having beer pong action.
The cushions, though, bought at the farmer’s market, compliment the awesomeness of our ugly red lamp.

My, oh, my what a fine rug! Love the colors in this masterpiece :)
I would love to add it to our little “creative getaway” (aka, second bedroom)! Clearly I’m a clutter-bug, but it’s of course a work in progress.

My husband and I are moving in 2 weeks to a new apartment, in Astoria Oregon. I do not have a photo of the new space but I can tell you that it has really light cream carpet… and light cream just doesn’t work. We are on a SUPER tight budget so we’ve been REALLY trying to be crafty and salvage and piece together everything we can to make a cozy space. This would BE AWESOME to fill our new place with wonderful color. We are a newly married couple trying to get pieces that we can make OURS for the long haul and I can see this rug living with us for many many happy years to come! Thanks!
Mostly moved in, with fingers crossed…

I just moved into my first apartment and being a poor college student, I am in desperate need of a nice big rug to cover up all the gross beige carpeting apartments seem to love so much. :(
I just got this wonderful mid-century modern chair and i think the rug would be a perfect compliment!!!

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS RUG!!!
I have a huge empty space in my living room, and this would fit perfectly. Also I have a strict NO SHOES ALLOWED policy in my apt so this rug will be taken care of!!
I am going to be one sleepy girl tomorrow because I have stayed up looking at everyone’s spaces….love it! xxoo

LOVE THIS RUG! We have a little cabin/house that could totally benefit from a lovely new piece. We have a couple of in-between spaces that would benefit from a little pizazz. Like here:

I’ve recently divorced, pullup up roots and moved to rural Pennsylvania and a charming little village called Doe Run Village…I love my nest but it is seriously lacking a beautiful rug.
We’ve been renovating an old Victorian Rooming House in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood, turning four apartments back into a family home. I’ve been doing all of the design myself.
The theme is urban hunting lodge and it could do with a little more urban. The 1970’s rosewood sofa will shortly be re-upholstered with antique army blankets, which would look perfect with the rug pattern.

I’ve ever seen!
My new boudoir

I would go far

The rug would be great in my living room that I am redoing down by the coast. I don’t have a photo currently but could send one! Would love to have it, thanks!
Currently my sofa has lost it’s will to live because it is dying of bordom. My sofa needs these pillows and the rug to resuscitate it and bring my living room to life.
I recently moved into this cute Bklyn apt with gorgeous dark hardwood floors, but the landlord won’t let us paint the walls and I could really use something to warm up the space. This rug would make my living room go from bland to GRAND. Plus, it would tie in quite nicely with my chairs.
Gosh, I love that rug!
My living room is a sea of gray and it desperately needs some color!!! Just look at that sad little swatch I’m using for a rug now. Help me!!!! ;-)

We’ve been living in our current home for about 4 yrs and could really use a new rug. I’m working on redoing out living room and the Bev Hisey Dhuri rug would go great with our new decor!

I would LOVE to put this rug in our bedroom of our new house. Here’s a picture of the room. Please not that this picture was from the original seller’s listing, so ignore the rug that’s there. Right now there’s nothing but a giant blank slate of laminate hardwood flooring, waiting to be covered with a beautiful Bev Hisey rug!)

Morning! I was elated to find the chance to win this beautiful rug! My boyfriend and I live in a small house in North Florida, and have enjoyed using our design budget to renovate the outside of the house where we spend most of our time. But now that its getting chilly, its time to focus on the inside, and I can’t imagine a more perfect way to start than with this beautiful and smart run on the floors. Im a graphic designer and hes a veterinarian, both just out of school, and our families consider us tree-huggers because of our sustainable practices :) Having this rug to marry our masculine and feminine styles, while keeping with our philosophies would make for a very merry Christmas!

Thanks so much!
We’re completely redecorating our living room, which you can see a little bit in the background here:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b126/melaniemb20/New%20House/easter.jpg
We are keeping those wood floors but nothing else. We just ordered a new sofa and arm chair, and the rug would actually match them PERFECTLY! We haven’t decided on a paint color or any accessories yet, but I did a little Photoshop mock-up with our new furniture and the rug:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b126/melaniemb20/New%20House/Living-Room.jpg
My 1950’s fixer upper home would love this amazingly designed wool rug on it’s warm wood floors. I’m sure my dog Clyde would love it to.

My husband and I are moving from New York to Philadelphia this Saturday… And we are pitching all of our Ikea ‘first apartment’ furniture to begin our ‘adult life’ together… This rug could help us begin the daunting task of defining our taste together (he loves it too).
To give you an idea of our ‘style’, the only pieces of furniture we have agreed upon thusfar are an antique industrial drafting table with a glass inset (to use as a light table), and a small bench we made together with reclaimed wood from Build it Green.
The room is obviously empty in the picture, but we plan on filling it soon with antiques and DIY re-finished pieces! We hope the rug can be a beautiful addition to our new home!

Thanks for offering Bev Hisey’s rug as a giveaway. Her designs are exquisite and I applaud her sustainable and humane work ethics. This rug would be a lovely replacement to the current rug we have in our home office. If I win the rug, I would like to pass the older rug on to our local battered womens shelter that provides start up home decor and essentials to women building a new life in a new home.
our foyer is inexplicably large and bare, so I’d use the rug to provide a nice welcome for folks as soon as they walk in our door!

wow what a beautiful rug!! my boyfriend and i have been living together for about 6 months (and loving it!) but we have neglected to decorate our dining room which has wood floors. the room has one wall painted and a few other things going on but it would benefit from a splash of modern color.

thanks for the opportunity! xoxoxo jill
maths (aka mathieu, my huuussssbbaand) says that he doesn’t believe in rugs, but the right rug could make him believe. random rugs no, gorgeous rugs yes.
*really, he just doesn’t like moving them when the time comes for sweeping and such. i know, deep down, he’s down with coziness.*
let’s make him believe! this is the maths-converting answer i’ve been searching for on my contemporary-dance-budget path! yyyyeeeeesssss!!!
i’m crossing my fingers/toes/and some important organs.

Here’s a look at my living room / kitchen / dining room hybrid, which is where I’d use this rug. It’s gorgeous — and, in addition to perking up the wood floor + tan sofa combo, it would pull out the colors from the prints I have beside the sofa. Love it!

I have been looking for the perfect and reasonably priced rug for my house for 3 years now. though this is just a small section of my living room, this is the most current picture I have available and showcases where I would like a rug to be.

We just just moved into our new place (hence why the place is bare!) and I have been looking at rugs non-stop but haven’t found anything perfect yet. This would work! Love it.

I have no place to put this rug. But that doesn’t mean I don’t lurv and want it. Sigh.
This photo shows my living room with an old rug that has been retired… am looking for new inspiration for the space: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v109/lbrideau/?action=view¤t=livingrm1.jpg
Seriously??? This is amazing!! I’d love the opportunity to win this gorgeous rug. Colors are fabulous and would look great in my living room:

Jamie and I just got married in May and are looking to find the perfect finishing touch for our first home together. This rug would be PERFECT in our living room!
These rugs are just stupendous, and ironically I was just thinking yesterday that I would love to have a large rug in my bedroom. And wouldn’t ya know…. these are the perfect colors! Maybe I’d switch to my white duvet though….
Check out the potential new home for Bev’s rug here: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/03/make-yourself-at-home-take-peek-into.html
I’ve just moved from a (literally) crooked old farm house into a mobile home (my housing is supplied by my employer, a not-for-profit kids’ camp) and I’m trying to create a cozy home. I’ve repainted the wood panelling, olive green, and blinding yellow walls in the kitchen and living room (seriously, the walls were that fake wood panelling popular in the 1970s … the room was so dark!). Now I’m trying to trade up for better furniture. The Bev Hisey carpet is beautiful and it would totally fit with where (I think) I’m going to end up!

I have been looking for a rug to make this room really pop. I have remodeled or built everything in this room and I just can’t find a rug to show it all off. This incredibly beautiful rug is exactly what I’ve been looking for!! I love the pattern- understated yet lively!

This stunningly beautiful wool rug is the missing piece that my little apartment needs! I love the geometric design, so reminiscent of inlaid native american jewelry! The turquoise blue would nicely accent the seaside collage on my wall – yet the green and grey would add a nice modern pop.
This rug would look gorgeous in our guest room / office. The cool hues would match the blue-heavy color scheme we have going. I’ve been having trouble finding the perfect rug too—you can see our old one rolled up in the left side of this picture: http://yfrog.com/3od8tj. Here is an older shot of the room that shows the blah carpet that is too apparent, even when the futon is folded down: http://yfrog.com/7bj42j
I would love a new rug for our dining room. Right now we have a cheap Target rug, that’s looking a little worn…
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessicareisfelt/5201383181/
This so lovely rug would be the inspiration for our new home’s dining room. We have transitioned from a large Spanish bungalow to a smaller, more intimate beach bungalow and want to make it suitable for framing, so to speak. This rug will be sweet with the vintage dining chairs and then we could work on modernizing the table and hang our art on the walls. Beautiful rug!
I was just shopping around for a perfect color rug for my bedroom. This rug would be a perfect match and would complete my bedroom decor. MY sofa needs these pillows because it would add character and 8 is my lucky number!!!!!! :) The 3 is the day my dada poassed so that number always has extra special attention.
It needs to live on red oak floors with cobalt walls.
I looooove Bev Hisey rugs… so gorgeous!
I’d love to have that rug in my home office – it would push me to finally finish the makeover I started last year.

My roommate and I just moved into a gorgeous new apartment in Harlem, but it’s 3x the size of our last space…and a real challenge for two budding creative professionals to furnish. My poor cold feet don’t have a rug in my bedroom yet, and I’m too poor to buy a big enough rug to fit the space!

http://kaethend.posterous.com/apply-for-rug
We’d put this in our living room to tone down the warmness from the floor and ceiling beams. The red Ikea covers will have to go, but we’re in need of new ones, thanks to two cats, a dog, and two kids!

Our ugly yellow craft room neeeeds this rug! We bough and gutted a 100 year old house, and have been redoing it for over a year! We are getting so very close to moving in….Hoping to install our bamboo floors and be in before Christmas!
What a marvelous giveaway!!! ♥

I love that rug! It’s taken my boyfriend and me a while to get the bedroom of our first apartment together decorated. I just got the quilt and shams at the John Robshaw sample sale, and now I’m looking for a rug to tie the bed together with the rest of the room, while still keeping it bright. This gorgeous dhurri would do it!
Here’s a photo of the room: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_4gjMhO_SlyE/TOv-cd_hg6I/AAAAAAAABo8/wgfyK8x2hIg/s800/IMG_9425.JPG

Wow. This rug is a knock-out. Thanks for the generous giveaway. My daughter and I are ready to graduate from the play mat in our living room! http://www.flickr.com/photos/lalarson/5201519919/
That Bev Hisey Rug is simply stunning. As a recent newlywed my husband and I are beginning to discuss what type of “feel” our new house together will be…modern? bohemian? simple? black/white? We decided on “homey”…comfortable and lived in. This turquoise and blue dhuri rug would be just the trick for our new apartment.
Since getting married in October we now have the enjoyable task of combining our college apt. stuff. The Bev Hisey rug would be a perfect replacement of our living room rug (which I often refer to as his nasty-college-please-excuse-our-rug rug)
Here is a photo of our “homey”, comfortable, lived in living room where the rug would go:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/47845946@N06/5201532379/
I think our cat (Lucy) would enjoy it too :)
I just moved into a new house on Saturday and am in the midst of transforming many rooms, including the one below, which used to be a nursery. I’m turning it into a home office thanks to some furniture from Craigslist and a few DIY painting projects. The walls will soon be Tiffany blue and a metal desk is going to be painted apple green, so this rug would be a perfect match. I would love to work in a space with such a beautifully designed rug. The carpet in this photo has been removed, exposing beautiful original wood floor. The walls are still yellow and I just removed the curtains. I am so excited to see it all come together.

This rug is just what I’ve been looking for to place under my son’s crib as the climbing has commenced. Warm yet rugged!

We have a big dog that is getting old. He started slipping on our hardwood floors, so my husband bought a bunch of cheap rugs to provide traction. Since then I’ve been on a Replace the Ugly Rugs campaign. Our sun room is still in need. I’m planning to recover the pillows and cushions, too, but I wanted to find the rug first. Bev Hisey’s beautiful dhurri would fit perfectly into my colorful scheme, and do the job of pulling a few things together, color-wise, in the adjoining rooms. I’d be honored to give her rug a home.
http://www.daynathacker.com/rugroom.html
I just painted the cement floor and the turquoise wall of our office nook last weekend. This rug would tie it all together instantly!
Hi design sponge – man do I love this blog and love bev’s rugs. I’ve been looking for the right rug all year (as well as fabric for roman shades) for the living room of the SF apartment I share with my boyfriend. The rug shown in this photo is HIS, and has been the source of many an argument, but we both can’t afford any of the ones I love. Since I can’t afford an amazing rug, this less-thoughtful geometric stand-in stays. Please consider helping me… :) And if you cannot, thank you so much for showcasing such gorgeous designers and for the thoughtful roundups! They’re bliss to read.

I moved into this 1 1/2 (aka studio) a few months ago when I relocated to Montreal to start graduate school. Minus a miniature bath mat I haven’t a rug in the place, but I sure could use one. I’ve struggled to define this small space, but it’s slowly growing on me and beginning to feel like my home.
I promise to have a one-woman dance party on the Bev Hisey masterpiece everyday if I’m picked to receive this piece of beauty.

hi from atlanta, ga… my dog and i agree that this rug would go great in our (rugless) southern living room! i have been searching for a rug that will make the most used room in my house feel like home, and can promise that if picked, this rug will become a most treasured addition to my growing collection of special furniture and decorative pieces.
We just moved back into our beautiful remodel of a 1905 Seattle farmhouse. We don’t have much in the way of rugs or art, so this would be a great start for us.

We bought our house last summer from a 92 year old lady named Doris. It needs lots of updating and we spent our xtra cash on refinishing the floors and nothing left to buy a new rug. The dining/ entertainment room definitely needs some warmth on the floors and a place for the kiddos to lounge. thanks for looking. best, ruth

I recently finished a renovation on this NYC apt. My father, mother and I worked tirelessly over the course of 6 months transforming what was a complete wreck into this beautiful little apt for my fiance and I. I’ve been searching for a rug with pattern in an effort to make a bold statement and tie the other elements of the room together. I think this Bev Hisey rug would look wonderful, especially in the morning when I get far better light!

I love this rug because…..
It is Canadian (like me)
It is made up of my favourite colours -note the Canadian spelling ;)
I am a huge fan of Bev Hisey (and have several photos of her rugs/pillows in my inspiration folder)
It would go perfectly in my living room which is made up of browns and greys.
It would replace my red rug which I found by the side of the road (nothing wrong with side of the road finds but I am really off the colour red lately)
My fingers are crossed!

Wow, this rug is so beautiful!
There’s a room in my home that was converted from a screened in porch before my husband and I bought the house. It’s basically served as a storage/catch all room for random things we didn’t have a space for elsewhere, but I’m currently working on transforming the room into a workspace for myself since there’s such great light in there. Anywhoodle, when I get it all finished, this rug would be a great addition!

I’ve been wanting to upgrade our rug situation in our bedroom for quite some time. The little guy who currently lives next to the bed really likes to decide on different locations. need to add some character to this room!
My living room is long and somewhat narrow…and a little drab at the moment! I wanted to paint a geometic pattern on our hardwood floors, but my husband isn’t on board for that…perhaps this rug could be the perfect compromise! We painted the cupboards turquoise in our adjoining kitchen, and this rug would provide a great pop of much needed colour. I would love for this rug to be the focal point of my living room!
The rug would make our living room just beautiful! Thank you.

How awesome is that rug!? I’m a big Bev Hisey fan. I’d put the rug in my bedroom, shown here on my sister’s blog:

It’s the perfect replacement for my tired and too-small Urban Outfitters rug, and will go perfectly with the colours in the room and the giant pillow headboard I got my sister to sew for me! I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed!

The rug is a lender from my mother in law we hate it as it is impossible to clean and it is not our taste whatsoever and it blends with the couch (and we don’t even own it to start). In the side table you can see our wedding pictures at the University of Toronto :)
Wow … so many comments! I would love this run, and the fact that it is Goodweave certified is an amazing perk. I would use this rug in my office. I think it would spice up the room and make it even cozier:

Bev Hisey makes incredible rugs, and I love that she is representing my hometown of Toronto with such style! Until I saw this rug I wasn’t sure what our living room was missing. Her beautiful rug would pick up the green from the accent wall in our kitchen and tie the entire room together. It definitely needs a punch of colour!

Oh, we love it! My husband of one whole month & I recently moved from a 550 sq ft apartment in San Francisco to an 1800 sq ft Vermont school house built in 1868. We are struggling to make the space as fantastic on the inside as it is on the outside. I think this carpet would LOVE living in our converted school house! {please} http://www.sepialavi.com/index.php?/project/bev-hisey-carpet-give-away/

This beautiful rug would look perfect in my dining area! It would really tie the room together… (I’m like the 500th person to make that joke, right?)

What a beautiful, unique rug! The pattern, the fact that it comes from a great source- really special.
I am newly pregnant and would love to add this rug to my nursery. The color of our walls plays off the colors in the rug, and we plan on painting the floors to a nice grey from white (just gets dirty too easily).
The rug size would cover a good expanse of our wood floors, since it is a cozy room- which would make for more comfortable baby crawling.
Here is a picture of the space now (currently a bare computer/ tv room): http://www.flickr.com/photos/sfantl/5202568341/in/photostream/ but it’s almost worth looking at the room a year previously (just for fun- http://www.flickr.com/photos/sfantl/4108836285/in/set-72157622691334257/ ) when we bought our house, stripped off crazy old/ outdated wallpaper and then had to skim coat, sand, prime and paint the walls, plus paint floors from glossy green to white- in this and four other rooms. Definitely a work in progress.
But I really see this rug pulling together a lovely space.
Thanks for the opportunity!
My husband and I bought our first house a year ago and have been slowly updating and furnishing it. This is our formal living/dining room which is the biggest room in the house and definitely the most in need of furniture. The very last picture is where it was when we first bought the house. It’s come a long way, but it still has a ways to go! As you can see, we definitely could use a rug ;)

rug plus sputnik would look tres cool in my bedroom.
I just bought my first house two weeks ago! The furnishing is coming along slowly… as you can see! I have been looking at rugs this past week, and instead of settling I had decided to wait until I find something I’m really crazy about, sort of like the one you have posted in this giveaway! I think the colors would look awesome with my sofa and other decor. I’m really trying for a minimalist feel, with a few key colorful pieces that pop. This gorgeous rug would be perfect for that. I hope you’ll consider my rugless living room as your contest winner!
I’d love to re-do my bedroom with that rug. It’s beautiful. Thanks for including me in the draw!

I would love to use it in my living room. We just moved in and it could use some livening up!

This would be so wonderful in my living area. I have browns, eggplants, greys and a little bit of turquoise. And very soon the (useful but hideous) baby swing will be gone! Ohhhh fingers crossed, I am dying for a gorgeous rug.

Thanks for the great giveaway Grace & Bev!
Bev Hisey’s gorgeous geometric rug would be such an inspiration to have in my (shoes off) studio. My current rug was a hand-me-down from a friend several years ago and is oh-so shabby. Spending time with this lovely dhuri would be an amazing way to get my creative juices going every day. I’d put it right here: http://ameliaroberts.wordpress.com/2010/11/23/inspiration-the-studio/
The rug is gorgeous! I covet her work. My dining room is in desperate need of a new rug and one that actually fits the table and chairs. I have a big new house with very little luxuries. I would be happy to give this gem a nice home!
My boyfriend and I share in a very small, generic apartment (what can I say, the rent’s cheap) – I cannot stress how much I would love this rug!!! {Not to mention, those are exactly my colors!} I’ve done all I can in the other rooms with paint, artwork and all forms of colorful accessories, but no matter what I do in the living room I can’t fight the beige carpet and walls. I think this rug would really make all the difference. Please, help me escape the beige!!! (Me, the sofa & coffee table would all be oh-so-thankful!)

well I don’t have a pic yet because the room hasn’t been built yet. we just finished the plans with the architect for a major 2 story addition. this would be perfect for the soon to be great room. we are supposed to break ground in a few weeks. would be happy to send pics in progress.
Pick me! I’ve recently graduated and am in my first apartment. I’ve been lucky enough to get some hand-me-downs to furnish the place, but no rug. This beautiful rug has my favorite colors. In my living room, it would be the centerpiece of the apartment – all rooms radiate from this spot.
Thanks for offering this great contest. Happy Thanksgiving!
