I’m thrilled to welcome one of my favorite blogging buds to D*S as part of the “What’s In Your Pocket(book)?” series. I’ve been following Lucy Feagins’ blog The Design Files for years now and it’s consistently remained one of my all-time favorites. In addition to providing endless inspiration and insight into what’s happening in the Australian design world, Lucy has truly developed a unique voice and perspective on the industry. I love reading about her life in Melbourne and getting to peek at such a beautiful part of the world every day on her blog. Today she’s giving us a peek inside her pocketbook so I’ll let Lucy take it away from here! xo, grace
Name: Lucy Feagins
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Blog: The Design Files
Pocket/Pocketbook Essentials: I never leave home without my iPhone, measuring tape, hair pins, camera and a sweet snack!
What is your favorite piece of pocket-sized inspiration and why? Here in Melbourne, spring has only just begun (pretty much this weekend!), and the first flower to bloom in my garden is the Jasmine blossom! It’s the first sign that winter is well and truly over. It amazes me that the tiniest flower can take over the garden with it’s incredible perfume (it fills my whole house!), and has the power to completely change your mood! Pocket-sized perfume!

great bag! surely there’s more inside that big bag than what’s shown on the table :)
Love the bag!! Can Lucy tell us where it came from?
nifty things.
Yes! DO tell us where the bag is from!!! It’s just lovely!!!
Classic contents as well – big fan of the Pawpaw!
Awww Grace thanks so much for the super sweet intro! What a lovely thing to wake up to!
I must admit totally stole this handbag from my Mum! She bought on holiday Thailand and as soon as I saw it I nabbed it! Sorry Mum!
Unfortunately so I am not sure how easy it might be to find one similar… :(
Thanks guys! xxx
My photo would also have to include some ratty old tissues and maybe a squashed Milky Way Bar. Not to mention all the other things too personal to mention…
Love your bag, baby! Thankyou D.S…
OH yes Gillian don’t worry I made an executive decision to remove ratty old tissues, lollie wrappers, squished fruit, and certain toiletries and necessities which are less than photogenic :) he he.
We love Lucy!
Design*sponge and Design Files are my two go-to blogs each day.
I lust over things on Design*sponge but love to know what’s happening in my own backyard too…so keep up the inspiring work, Lucy :)
Lucy, as everyone pointed out what a beautiful bag! What color Chanel polish is that, btw?
I love Lucy!! The Design Files is my daily escape and a Melbourne icon :)
