d*s at currency: customizable friendly bed frames

Our resident DIY queen Kate Pruitt has a new post on Currency today! Kate’s piece is about creating your own affordable customized bed frame. Inspired by fancy beds with higher price points, Kate picks out three great bed frames that won’t break the bank and talks about how to transform them into something chic. 1. Customized bedframes are the best! My husband and I customized a bedframe to look like a pricier Pottery Barn version a while back and we love it! http://hernandohouse.wordpress.com/2010/08/14/bed-time/

  2. Amy says:

The ideas are nice, but the pictures of the bedrooms being emulated are so small I can’t make anything out. It would be nice to see what the inspiration for each project was at a larger size…

  3. oakland girl says:

I agree with Amy. Can Kate share larger photos?

  4. oorbee says:

what a pleasant surprise to see my old bedroom here! fyi, our bed is from west elm and was around $300. great post!
