design*sponge at lavish: come join us in atlanta!

I’m so excited about all the events we have coming up this fall! In addition to the D*S DIY/book event at Terrain next month (spots are still available for the book preview and discussion), we’ll be doing a series of events with the Brooklyn Flea’s “Gifted” event, as well. But I’m especially excited about something coming up this December: we’re heading to Atlanta, Georgia, to speak at Lavish!

My love of the South is hard to put into words, so I was thrilled to join this new lifestyle blogger/social networking conference — not only because I love getting to meet and work with people face-to-face, but because I’ll get to team up with not one but five Design*Sponge contributors for a second-panel talk! If you’re up for a weekend of fun, I hope you’ll join us at Lavish (December 10–12th in Atlanta, Georgia) for the following panels:

Event: From Part-Time to Pro: A 1-Hour Workshop to Help You Develop Your Blog into a Business
Details: I’ll be leading a discussion workshop where we cover all the basics to turning your blog into a successful business. I’ll bring worksheets I’ve made based on my consulting sessions and teach the fundamentals so you can start your blog/business off on the right foot. Perfect for bloggers or businesses hoping to build a successful blog for their brand.

Event: Getting the Word Out: Tasteful Techniques for (and Personal Stories about) Promoting Your Business Online through Social Media and Non-Traditional Media
Details: This is one of the top two issues I find my consulting clients struggling with, so we’re going to devote an entire panel talk to it! I’ll be joined by the following talented business owners (and Design*Sponge contributors): Ginny Branch Stelling, Barb Blair, Emily Newman, Ashley Meaders and Amy Osaba. We’ll all be sharing our tips for business promotion and talk about our own successes and set-backs.

I hope to see you all there! xo, grace

I signed up for this immediately after Shameeka announced it. Now I am feeling quite smug about my prescience:):. So exciting you will be there.

we’re happy to have d*s -related panels at lavish. as this isn’t a d*s-only event it didn’t feel right to host our own separate event when so many great events related to lavish were taking place. also, we’re only down for a quick trip so most of our time will be spent at the conference. hope to see you there!
