One benefit of my bizarre apartment set-up is that I have endless closet space — I know, I’m sorry to rub it in. Trust me, it’s not as amazing as you’d think. I know that’s not the case for everyone, which is why I think those of you without closets should look to this bedroom makeover for some serious storage inspiration.
You may remember the amazing before & after pics Tim sent us of his living room and balcony renovations. After living in his apartment for three years without any storage space in his bedroom, Tim decided he’d had enough and rigged this amazing wall of modular cabinet units. I absolutely love the combination of white and natural wood, and the mix of display and hidden storage space is genius. You can read more about the whole process here. Great work, Tim! — Kate

I love all aspects of this makeover.
Interesting. Kinda like sleeping in a ship or a kitchen.
I love it. Can you share the source of the artwork and dresser please??
Thanks
Ditto what Lauren said – is that headboard homemade or a great find?
the art work is from a local artist. .. will try to find her card but I don’t remember her name. I got it at the outdoor art show.
the headboard is a custom made piece based on one I saw at Restoration Hardware.
While I’m not lacking storage, I love your idea of using cabinets. It’s something I would have never of thought of. Great job!
The dresser is from Style Garage in Toronto. A fantastic deal from floor model sale.
sorry everyone I couldn’t find the card from the artist I got the painting from 2 years ago.
and Maria, where about are you in Toronto?
and ashley, I the wood pieces were custom made… so I’m not sure where my guy got his wood pieces but they are in a natural walnut finish.
I love built-ins around a bed SOOO much, it’s my plan to build some of my own one of these days!
Gorgeous. I love how the white built-ins still give the room an airy-ness and the wood tones in the middle really draw you into the beautiful upholstered headboard. Just beautiful…
I liked the before better. I know, I’m weird. Just sayin’.
the artist name is Laura Culic and here is her website:

I think this before and after just changed my life. I live in a loft so I an in extreme need of extra storage. Until now, I have yet to see a solution that isnt tacky. Love it!
hi there, i was browsing this before and after, and i believe the painting was done by a Toronto based artist by the name of Mark Gagnon. Happens to be my uncle!
Tim – where is the bedspread from? I’m on a never ending quest for good bed linens….
