new at d*s: consulting services

by Grace Bonney

today i’m happy to announce a new project i’m starting here at d*s: one-on-one consulting services! i can’t tell you how excited i am to get started because one of my favorite parts of running design*sponge has always been the connections i get to make with other bloggers, designers and business owners.

in many ways, this going to be even better – because now we’ll get to connect one-on-one and come up with specific plans to grow and improve your businesses and blogs.

this all started because over the past seven years (i can’t believe it’s been that long!) i’ve been working behind the scenes with fellow bloggers, business owners, artists and designers – sharing ideas, learning from mistakes, and finding new ways to get past the hurdles that can hold us all back. and i’ve loved it. the problem was that as the site has continued to grow, so have the demands on my time. this has left me with only a couple of hours per week to answer questions, and it feels like i’m spreading myself too thin and not giving the detailed advice that i would if i had more time.

i’ve had to face the (frustrating) fact that i can’t help everyone who asks, at least not all at once. so if I’m going to take the time to help anyone, i want to make sure I do it right. with personal, one-on-one attention that is solely focused on taking your business and blog to the next level.

if you’re interested in hearing more about d*s blog and business consulting services for hire, please enter your email address below (in the form field below, not the comment section). you’ll receive a follow-up email with a short survey and if you take the time to fill it out by friday at 11:59pm EST you’ll be eligible to win a free consultation session.

right now i’m in the final planning stages, and want to hear what you guys want or need the most help with: advice about blogging? help with product lines from an editorial perspective? pr advice for your blog or business? building traffic for your blog? finding ways to increase revenue for your blog? hiring contributors or new team members? my ears are wide open, and after hearing your questions and suggestions i’ll be rolling out the full list of services available.

with the exception of this post and the announcement when we launch, i won’t be talking much about this here on the main blog, as i know this isn’t the reason the majority of you read d*s. so rest assured this is a brief mention and then it’s back to design ;) thanks! xo, grace

  • Grace, I get the feeling you will have even less time as many of us rely on you for so much now, and that’s without even speaking to you.

To have an opportunity for you to guide us and get your feedback will be very, very helpful, so thank you so much. I’ve learned so much from your Biz Ladies feature, but yet, I am still stuck….so thanks again!

  • I’m so excited to hear that you’re doing this! I’ve learned so much through your Biz Ladies series – but to work one on one would be a dream come true!! I would definitely love some help and feedback on the business I’m starting. This is just wonderful news!

  • Congrats on D*S Consulting! This is such a great idea and a wonderful opportunity for us bloggers! As I am new to the blogging world, I am so excited to hear your advice about creating a successful blog! Thank you!

Still, I am crossing my fingers to win that consultation! And even if I don’t, I would definitely pay to learn from someone with your experience and foresight, Grace!
