materia designs

materia designs is a fantastic husband-and-wife design team that produces furniture, lighting, and textiles from their studio in the hudson valley. former brooklynites, megan and matt design and produce all their pieces locally using all sustainable materials and business practices. they sell their work, along with other interior products and accessories (all designed and produced within 100 miles of their home), from their new paltz shop, materia locus. i’m really partial to their mirror collection (i like the contrast between the smooth, clean wood and the rough rope it hangs on) and their metal and wood desk designs, but you can click here to view their full collection online. they also run a blog which is full of great inspiration images… thanks, megan!
