tonight i am both thrilled and honored to be speaking with dominique browning about her new book, slow love: how i lost my job, put on pajamas & found happiness. dominique and house & garden magazine will always hold a special place in my heart, as they were my first real home in the design world. she and her staff welcomed me with open minds and hearts and it was at that magazine where i learned the core of my writing ethics and standards, and learned what it meant to constantly strive to be better (something i’m still working on). tonight i’ll be sitting down with her at mcnally jackson books from 7-8pm to have a discussion about her book and the topics raised within: life after work, rediscovering yourself and what really makes you happy, and learning to slow down and appreciate (and even love) the changes in your life. if you’re in the nyc area i hope you’ll be able to stop by- listening to dominique in person is just as enchanting as reading her words, so i think we’re in for a wonderful hour of conversation.
here are the details:
- what: q&a with dominique browning
- when: tonight, 7pm-8pm
- where: mcnally jackson books (52 prince street, between mulberry and lafayette)
- admission: free

dominique browning is amazing. i always loved to read her letter from the editor in house and garden – always soulful, insightful + beautiful. wish i was in nyc tonight but boo hoo no. enjoy!
I sooo wish I were there. Dominique Browning’s editorials were always a cut above, and I deeply enjoy her blog.
Ohh, I’d love to hear you speak too. I enjoyed hearing Dominique’s presentation last evening in Fairfield – it was a real treat.
Hmmm… That sounds wonderful! Any chance it will be incorporated into a print interview for those of us who, say, live in the Western part of the US? …Hint, hint… :P

im going to ask about having it videotaped, we’ll see… it’s not really my event so i can’t make any decisions for dominique.

Yes- please- see if she will agree to be videoed for her followers that can’t be there. I’m sure her next project will be even more enthralling than her life has been so far.

Hi Grace
I was there. I have to admit I didn’t know Dominique before but it was such a nice interview!
I’m on vacation in NYC and it was an awesome chance to see the person who is behind of one of my favorite blogs.
Keep going and all the best!
