Susan Brinson : Susan and William Brinson found lamps, stencils, furniture, and kitchen odds and ends at thrift stores across Canada and New York- great work, guys!

Hannah Flora: I love Hannah’s beautiful thrift store vignette here- especially this gorgeous mirror she nabbed on the upper west side at a thrift shop. Well done, Hannah!

Lula Aldunate: Though Lula lives in NYC now, she decorated her work studio in Buenos Aires with his sister and brother in law using almost exclusively flea market and thrift store furniture. Wow!

Debora Francis: photographer Debora Francis has a gorgeous mix of flea market and thrift store goods from not only around nyc, but around the world! Thanks for sharing, Debora!

Liz Grotyohann: Liz lives in New Jersey and is proud that about 80% of her home decor comes from thrift stores, craigslist, and curbside finds. I love her mix of old and new at home- great work!

The Brinson Home is inspiring a lot of envy on my end. I desperately want to inspect all the little doodads they’ve sprinkled through their space.
lula,lula,lula!!! wow!
Totally gorgeous and impressive. This is my favorite kind of contest – really extravagently beautiful without being expensive.
I would love to exchange homes with Hannah Flora!
Hey—snazzy diggs Will & Susan!
All beautiful spaces. Well deserved wins!
I especially love that colourful bunting.
Is that a freakin’ dinosaur skull?! Where do I get one of those?
So inspiring! Congratulations to the winners.
I absolutely adore Liz’s collection of misc. trophies! Her mantle vignette is really lovely, too–I especially like the vintage box filled with small treasures. I never thought about searching CL for a dinosaur skull–but this definitely inspired me to do so! Definitely my favorite! Kudos + Congrats!
I only buy new as a last option.Craigslist and salavation armies tend to be my best bet.Montreal also turns up alot of good dumpster finds.
This is so freaking inspiring.
is that wallpaper in lula’s entry, or individual papers put together? i love it!
The Brinson home is stunning. Love the black on black!
Hannah’s mirror is my favorite, but they’re all wonderful!
Please do full sneak peaks of all of these. They are wonderful!
my kind of contest and post. thanks!
can you let us know if the wall paper is paper or fabric. very cool
I also hope there can be fuller sneak peaks soon. (Especially of the Brinson place, please.)
the brinson home is fantabulous. a dream home! and lula’s home is my second fave :]
This is one of my favorite posts/contests ever. I LOVE LOVE LOVE anything thrift store related. Thanks for the wonderful eye candy!
Wow, fantastic homes and thrift store finds, very inspiring. I love Hannah’s yellow mirror!
Is that Patootie in the last photo?
those pillows are from target….
i love this house….the kitchen is amazing…
hm, i wish i paid attention and entered this! These houses are extremely cool though, well done guys!
Love the Brinson home pic. Curious about the writing on the front of the dresser.
@ Tina. the cabinet with the writing is from a french tailors factory. it is different parts, like cuffs, collars, etc and sizes marked on each drawer. i bought it from a place in georgia. often wonder how it got there!
@ Beth. Anytime! I have a lot of stuff to sift through! I have all the drawers filled with antiques/random collections until we get more shelving!
Its John Varvatos meets Jack Spade meets Maison Francais…nice work.
…oh btw, that’s the Brinson residence!!
I’m not usually one for knicknackery but the Brinson house is seriously, seriously sexy. That first room has a magic about it. Quite out of the ordinary – a very developed synthesising eye(s). Any chance of a sneak peek? I’d love to see the rest.
thank you all for the comments!
amy and kate, the wall is covered with pieces of different kind of papers!! (we did it with my sister!)
So, so beautiful, creative and inspiring.
I especially love the black dresser with the golden letters on top.
