i heart miette in a major way. whether i’m visiting their shop, drooling over their fine art-inspired creations, or peeking inside their homes, i’m always impressed. so i was thrilled to hear from tess at miette about their new wallpaper-inspired confections. the miette shop in san francisco is covered in an osborne & little wallpaper, so they decided to create delicious shortbread cookies based on the wallpaper’s floral pattern. each cookie is topped with royal icing that mimics the wallpaper’s color and pattern perfectly and looks almost too pretty to eat. but because i’m generally hungry for sweets all the time, i have a feeling i could get passed that urge to preserve their beauty. you can pick up the cookies in person if you’re in san francisco, or order them online and have them shipped directly to your hungry tummy house.
i’m packing up for the day, so i’ll see you all on monday! i hope you all have a wonderful weekend and if you missed anything this week, a summary of this week’s highlights are below:

Debra- I had the cookie cutters custom-made (by hand!) by http://www.coppergifts.com- you just send in a line drawing. They were awesome to work with, so helpful to a cookie cutter novice like me!
Jennifer & Ari- the plates are by Oakland ceramics darling Whitney Smith http://www.whitneysmithpottery.com. All of her pieces are gorgeous!
