it’s funny how one of the first design concepts i ever wrote about- creating porcelain versions of throw-away containers- is still one of my favorite things to see. i really love playing with different variations on the idea of more “permanent” versions of disposable goods, so i was really happy to see these cute bone china farmers market baskets ($20-$38) as part of the jayson home spring 2010 catalog. they would be perfect for spring fruit and veggies, or for use as a little entryway catch-all for keys, etc. the jayson home spring catalog also had some beautiful vintage items up for grabs, like these vintage wicker demijohns ($98) and wire shop baskets (98). if i had an extra $800 to spare- and a fireplace in my home- i would definitely be dropping this antique fire screen in my basket. the new collection is full of fun, more affordable accessories and fancier vintage and antique furniture, so click here to check out and shop the new pieces online. thanks, abbe!

I really love that fireplace screen. I also wish I had an extra $800 for that but alas I will have to search for something else…..I’m sure I can find it. :) Thanks for a great post!
Jayson Home & Garden also has amazing factory light sculptures and a great collection of petrifed wood side tables/stools. I just blogged about their ‘glory’ too. Lovely products!
Love the demijohns…I didn’t know what they were called. I love all things wicker!! Thanks for the reminder that I love Jayson Home and Garden too.
this is a fashion spread waiting to happen
I just got the catalog in the mail too! And thought it was the best ever. Those farmers market baskets caught my eye. The catalog is really well done, nice contrast of old and new, affordable and off the charts…loving it!
I love this stuff. I’m gonna beg them to send me one here in Canada, will they?
