holly’s houses

as a non home-owner, i spent a lot of time thinking about the day we’ll finally have a house to call our own. no one to tell us what we can and can’t do to walls, no one to tell us to turn our music down- just a space that’s truly ours. until that day, i’m definitely going to keep illustrator holly-anne rolfe’s website bookmarked. holly makes custom rubber stamps based on images of your home’s exterior. based in london, holly creates beautiful custom stamp designs based on your home, including your address, or any other message you’d like to include. whether your home is small and cozy, or grand and stately, it would be so much fun to be able to stamp thank you cards, personal stationery, or gifts with your own home. you could even create gift wrap using butcher paper or plain white paper. the possibilities are endless, and i can only imagine how cute this might look if you were lucky enough to live in a cute townhouse or apartment building. click here to check out holly’s website and place an order. thanks, holly!

Oh, wow! I love this idea of a “home portrait” that you can use for correspondence. I’m a non-homeowner as well, and I have a running list in my head of some of the buildings in my neighborhood that could become my home. Maybe I could have stamps made of them instead?

My studio just finished up a line of home accessories based on the ornamentation on the 19th century buildings in our neighborhood that we look at [and covet] every day. You can see our line here.

Beautiful ideas. I love houses, I kept drawing them and making clay models of houses when I was a kid. There are a few houses from the neighborhood that I grew up that I totally adore, and once when for a video I made with a friend we found blueprints of them all and now I have them framed on my wall.

Wow! This would be a wonderful gift for new homeoweners/newlyweds! I am also a renter… and our building isn’t exactly stamp worthy haha Can’t wait to get our own home stamp someday!

I love this! How awesome would it be to have a stamp of my Boston triple-decker… kinda funny.

instantly bookmarked! I adore rubber stamps and any excuse to use them. I’m a renter too, so I may gift one of these to one of my homeowner friends.

Wow, these are amazing. I’m not a home owner yet either, but I would love to have something like this whenever we get to that point. Such a lovely idea.

amazing. what a beautiful keepsake – especially as generations get older, move away, leave the nest.

this is so completely unique and cool. we are just about to start renovations to our house, so perhaps it will be the perfect celebratory pressie to the mr. after initial stages are complete?
