francisca prieto: between folds + shakespeare

i can’t resist a good paper installation, so i was really excited to see an email from artist francisca prieto in my inbox last night. francisca has a new show at the jaggedart gallery in london showcasing some truly beautiful folding work- using both the written work of shakespeare (below) and folded envelopes (above and immediately below). the show is on now until the end of this month, so if you’re in london, be sure to swing by! if you’re not, i hope these images can be enough eye candy for today. you can see more of francisca’s work right here.

I think you have misspelled the artist’s name. The link says “franciscO prieto” but points to an artist named “franciscA prieto”.

That’s Adrienne – I’ve corrected that instance that the name was misspelled.

LOVE THIS! i actually save our envelopes from our work correspondence and turn them inside out for personal re-use. I love the different “privacy” patterns featured- especially AmEx’s Faux Bois! Thanks for an exciting post! I may have to re-post : )

Beautiful paper work, i did a project a few years ago and its not easy to get the folding exact. Inspirational!
