for the love of citrus

citrus
this weekend amy and i stopped by saipua to visit d*s editors amy merrick and sarah ryhanen. being the totally oblivious person i sometimes am, i walked right past a chalkboard sign that said “flower school this way” and inadvertently barged in on sarah and nicolette’s citrus-themed flower school class. after apologizing and hightailing it out of there we came back later to check out the final results from the class. watching all those tiny oranges and lemons in flower arrangements reminded me of my love of most things citrus themed. in addition to smelling clean, they bring such a cheery dash of color to things in cold winter months. so i started looking around for more ways to bring citrus into the house and fell for these sweet lemon sheets at anthropologie. wouldn’t it be nice if they smelled lemony clean, too? until they do, a nice alternative would be this lemon verbena scented linen spray, a shortcut to the freshness that is citrus.

Those lemon sheets are lovely. There’s something so fresh and spring like about citrus, I swear I can almost smell those sheets!

Oh, those sheets are too sweet. Looks like the perfect thing to make you wake up in a good mood!

Citrus, the remedy for winter blues! I was just visiting my family for the holidays and my grandmother’s oranges and lemons were ripe! Oh, candied citrus peel! And, there is nothing like citrus groves in bloom in the spring! Yes, citrus should be a theme in the winter…indeed!
