good morning! i wanted to kick off this morning with a beautiful new calendar from artist anneliese dehner. anneliese’s calendar features birds that migrate through portland, oregon, each one printed as a digital version of anneliese’s original watercolor and pen & ink drawings. if you’ve got a pdx resident or bird-lover in your life, you can pick up one of her lovely calendars right here for $20.

also, over at the d*s guest blog blair has a fun gift guide of her favorite gifts for the holiday season. click here to check it out! (i love the comfort food treats above)

Mmmmm..comfort chocolates! I love the Penguin bags too!
These are fantastic ideas, thank you!
Ooh, those chocolate bars look yummy. I just figured out what I’m getting people for stocking stuffers! The packaging is great too.
I have that coat! It’s awesome!
I have to admit I’m having difficulty w/the concept of ramen + chocolate… can anyone set me straight?
I find it really annoying that delicious-looking chocolate is featured when no one who stocks it will ship it outside the US, not even to Canada (unless they add a huge service charge).
Sarah, think of ramen noodles and chocolate as a new twist on a Nestle crunch bar. Only better, trust me : D
french toast chocolate bar!?! too bad Amazon is sold out of them…
Wow, that calendar is gor-ge-ous! And the chocolate bars are just great – we used to make a treat with ramen noodles and chocolate when I was younger. As blair said – it is like a twist on a Nestle crunch bar. Very yummy.
I love that calendar! OK I admit the ramen noodle/chocolate mix was a litte odd to me but I like Blair’s comparison… intriguing!!
Aww, cute little western tanager. I want that calendar!
Fantastic work. Exquisite drawings with a quirky style that captures Portland perfectly.
