i have a well documented love affair with bears. there’s something about their deceptive cuddliness that i can’t resist. whenever i go camping i’m irrationally terrified they’ll attack me (you should have seen me on our honeymoon in montana. i was convinced one would hunt me down whenever i ran from the tent to the bathroom), but when it comes to picking a favorite animal symbol in artwork, i always run back to my fuzzy woodland favorite. so i was really happy to see an email from sarah at banquet about her new bear print.

sarah recently introduced to two screen prints to her etsy shop, one dedicated to sea animals of the pacific northwest and one dedicated to a big beautiful red bear. each print is $50 and can be picked up right here at the banquet etsy shop. to catch more peeks of sarah’s work, click here to check out the banquet blog. thanks, sarah!

LOVE that sea animals poster! And the artist is from my neck of the woods – thanks so much! I’m going to check out more of her stuff.

I feel the same way about bears. I would love to snuggle one, but we have a little black bear that strolls through our neighborhood every night and I am sure he will be the cause of my death. eeeek.

I just ordered the sea animals print for my aquatic biologist daughter. Thanks, Grace!

Great print but what’s the name of the quilt pattern on that floor quilt?

On the bear print, I’m curious what the white dot is on the head (not on the photo of the screenprint here but in the photos on the Etsy listing). It isn’t where an eye would be, nor does it look like it is supposed to be an eye. Maybe it is just part of the design but I was curious what others thought the white dot is supposed to be.

Nicole Hannah, I too want to know more about the quilt! It looks smashing!

Love both of these, but especially love the bear photo with the kid with one sock. My daughter forever has only one sock on. This makes me smile!

I used to work with Sarah and she is a wonderful artist and a beautiful soul.
