I’m with Andreas… Only flat note on that beautiful design is that naked light bulbs are really stark and not good for ‘lighting’ the room. Trust me – i’ve made similar for myself and the kids’ rooms. I’m moving back to something with a minimum lamp shade of frosted glass or tracing paper with random positive words…
They won’t be made till after Xmas though…

I love this look too…. I keep imagining myself in an industrial loft with worn wood furniture and this put another image to it.

my favorite colors in design are black, white and brown…but this room makes me feel sad.

The room itself is gorgeous, the white walls and the moldings…I even kind of like the light…but the furniture and that sad sad sorry excuse for a centerpiece makes me want to cry. That is a dinning room that says “please dont stay long, we never really liked you in the first place, oh and we are too pretentious to serve you anything with salt or butter”.

I love modern design, but somehow I feel like lately its been bastardized to where quality is nonexistant and every piece of furniture only has a shelf life until the lease is up.

I am growing fonder and fonder or highly ornamated statement furniture…like a large chinoiserie cabinet, or a rococo gold leafed hall table.

I love this – I am also a sucker for industrial pieces, but $1150 is more than expensive, it’s kinda just wrong? Room & Board has some great raw metal pieces and I have a lamp from Ikea that I fell in love with it – light bulbs everywhere. Thanks for your many blog posts – always entertaining!
