new d*s desktop wallpaper: dan funderburgh

copper
good morning! i seriously can’t believe that it’s already october (where has this year gone?), but i’m thrilled that it means a new free d*s desktop wallpaper! and this month we have a wonderfully october-themed (halloween!) series of wallpapers from pattern designer dan funderburgh! i am a huge fan of dan’s work (and home) so i was delighted when he agreed to design wallpapers for us this month. and he didn’t design just one wallpaper, he designed a copper version with and w/out a calendar, a blue version with a calendar and a purple version without a calendar. so if you’re looking for something new and bold to decorate your computer screen CLICK HERE to download dan’s new wallpapers for this month! thanks again to dan for sharing his beautiful work!

*ps: andy’s guest blog post will be up around 12 today!

  2. Sam says:

Great patterns. I’ve been planning on getting an ouroboros tattoo for a long time, and I have a feeling I may be asking Mr. Funderburgh for permission to base the design on these wallpapers.

  3. Sam says:

Oh, wow, I just realized he designed some of my favorite “real” wallpapers (Elysian Fields, anyone?). Sweet.

  4. Kristina says:

This guy isn’t putting out nearly enough art that I can buy, because seriously, I think he’s my favorite ever. Like, over Picasso and stuff. Which, maybe that’s sad, but hey.

  5. mz says:

Dan F is a gentleman and a scholar. His artistic aptitude is only outweighed by his generosity…and tree climbing skills.

  6. Cool! I’m new to this feature of Design Sponge and can totally say this is one of my favorite things! Thank you so much!

  7. simone says:

Thank you so much Design Sponge for theses great wallpapers/calendars! I cant wait for the first of each month now to see the new one ! And the calendar makes a great excuse for a special wallpaper at work !

  8. liss says:

these are gorgeous, but is there any chance they’ll be available in a widescreen layout in the future?

    1. grace says:

      liss

the widest size we offer them in is 1920 wide, sorry. any larger and the images could be reproduced for commercial purposes and we want to protect the artists.

  9. Marie says:

Awesome. These are my favorite I’ve seen so far!

  10. Sam says:

Wait, what about widescreen aspect ratio at lower resolution?

    1. grace says:

      sam

i’m afraid this is all we’re offering for right now- these artists donate their time for free and we work with what they give us :)

is there a way to get these at good resolution? really pixelated as a desktop am I missing something?

  15. Jennette says:

Devin, I had that problem, too. I you clicking on “CLICK HERE” and then scrolling down to the links for download on the page that comes up? Don’t try to set one of these smaller images as a background. Then they do look pixelated.
